Hi! I'm flattered to be added to your "friends" group! I've been LCing since forever -- and I can't say I've made goal weight yet! That's because I've taken breaks.... just like you! ... and learned the hard way that no matter how (many times) you slip and fall, the trick is to jump right back up, and dust yourself off and tell yourself "Well, THAT was a learning experience!" and figure out how you went "wrong" and succumbed to temptation, and immediately begin trying again. Whew! Nothing like a run-on sentence! In other words, give yourself immediate forgiveness for failure; NEVER give yourself permission to take a break!
Never give up; never stop -- not even when you reach goal weight! I CAN promise you that the longer you do this, the easier and more natural it becomes.
It takes awhile to find what is right for you. At least, it did for me! I initially didn't want to invest myself in learning new things and new ways to cook, new recipes, new ingredients... and I adamantly refused to ever feel hungry. So of course, I was bored with the few things I ate, and overeating . It was only when I accepted that this was for life and decided I wanted to learn more about everything I could eat that I became happy with the diet. And over time, I also learned to trust that I was NOT going hungry, so I stopped needing to stuff my tummy! I guess I'm a slow learner!
But that's okay -- I've kept off 30 pounds for 5 years. I want to lose 30 more pounds -- but I also want to KEEP THEM off! Motivation waxes and wanes over time; and I push to lose a few more pounds or just learn to maintain a few more pounds LOST. There's no rush. I'm satisfied just to keep it off plenty of times!
So keep on swimming! Keep on swimming, keep on swimming.... just like Dorie the Fish in "Finding Nemo". And feel free to ask me a question if you have a recurring problem you can't solve.

Thank you for spending the time to read my blog - I think having just put that blog together - the first time I have actually put the developing story together like that and now the penny has dropped - and I am beginning to realise what I have done!! So - I'm just a bit slow in the uptake!! LOL!! However it has proved one thing to me – that if I can do it anyone can do it and you will find that the results are way beyond your wildest dreams!!
