I remembers things that are unique and certain people like you. I'm a science major so I don't believe most studies as the scientific method is no longer used and studies relying on peoples memories and not taking in variables are very flawed. I don't believe in one size fits all diets. I don't get into any severely restrictive diets and really never did other than when I was a vegetarian in high school and it didn't work for me. I did diet counseling for a while so I know a lot of diets for different medical conditions. I like meat but not a lot of it. I have never been like these people who eat more than one piece of meat. A serving is enough for me. I prefer fish, seafood, and egg whites. I eat lots of veggies as I love them and I get in my 3 fruits a day, plus seeds and nuts, olive oil, lean meat. Occasional legumes. I don't tolerate most grains or dairy and don't think either one is all that healthy so if I eat them I do it as if they are a condiment more than the main dish. No milk but a little real cheese. I used bone broth before it ever became a fad. I don't tolerate things like yogurt and similar products. I'm not that crazy about sweet potatoes. I have had testing and have done elimination diets. I go to a specialist. I mostly avoid unhealthy foods. I try to do clean eating to some extent. There are different concepts of what the term means. I eat minimal processed foods, less sodium, less artificial sweeteners, and less omega 6 fatty acids. I avoid transfat, nitrites, nitrates, hormones, antibiotics, additives, chemicals, pesticides, preservatives, dyes, junk food, fast food, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, farm raised fish, cured meats, caffeine, MSG, alcohol, soy, gluten, foods that come in tins containing bisphenol-A, microwave popcorn that contains perfluorooctanoic acid, low fat foods, diet foods. I do very well when I stay on the diet.
Kids grow up so fast! It is quite and adjustment when they go to college in the states as high school lets them slide through. They struggle to get organized and used to the heavy work load. Does you son know what he wants to do?
Hubby and I are both exhausted from having too much to do. I'm hoping my hubby will retire at 65. Over 3 years to go. We are slowing down. Wanting to downsize. Enjoy our senior years. I need to make some goals toward that.

Of course I would remember you!! You are one of the only people I know who was on the Dukan diet in the past. And some diets I have always wondered about. You used to have lots of cookbooks like me. Do you still collect them? How is your son doing?
Right now I have had gut issues so my diet is not what I want it to be. I still try to do a High Protein, Lower Carb, Moderate Fat, Gluten Free diet with Intermittent Fasting. It works best for me when I can do it.
So nice here now as it is Spring here. My favorite season! Have a good day! 663 days ago
