Edit: 7/12/12

It's been a crazy year! I made almost no progress in my weight loss journey last year. In March we started prepping for radiation therapy as my cancer came back or was never completely gone. Either way they put me on 17 rounds of radiation therapy. At the end I had obtained extremely painful nerve damage from the radiation therapy. I gave up on everything. working out hurt way too much. It was awful. I finally decided in January of this year to stop letting my condition to prevent me from losing weight and living my life. I am now restarting spark people again and taking it easy when it comes to exercise because while I have turned my bad situation into a "I'm not letting my life end" I'm still in constant pain. My pain nerve damage medication keeps the pain to a minimum but it still affects me incredibly. I hope to go from 152 to 125 within the year. Starting with small, two week goals. I'm still in school but I'm really almost done. My toughest term was when I took microbiology and physiology in the same term. lol My son just turned four and I'm ready to get down to business. For a long time I wondered why this had to happen to me. In Feb. of 2011 I had high hopes for a healthier me, working out hard everyday with no pain and not having to manage any pain with medication. Now I'm ready to restart my life. My husband and my son are my inspiration for my new life. I love my boys.

Edit: 2/3/2011

I want to lose the 30 pounds plus more that I gained while on chemotherapy. My son is now two and a half and my husband is aging like a fine wine but I am almost bald *my hair has started growing back* and all this weight doesn't help at all. I am working on a BS in nutrition and will hopefully be finished by this time next year.

I want to finally lose the last 20 pounds of baby weight. I had my son Johnny a year ago next month, I had hoped I would be much thinner by now but it didn't happen. I am slowly getting there. I am thinking about becoming a nutritionist/physical fitness trainer like my idol Cindy Whitmarsh.

My Goals:
Lose 20 pounds by Sept. 20 2012. That will be 132 lbs. My Pre-Chemo weight lol.

Current goal: 4 pounds in 2 weeks. That's 148lbs

Keep losing until I hit 125

Do well in school this semester.

My Program:
Take it a day at a time. I know planning will help my success rate but my nerve damage pain is too unpredictable.

emoticon Thank you for commenting on my blog! Isn't it sad how easy it is for us to beat ourselves up - especially when, in reality, we should be patting ourselves on the back for being self-aware instead. Take heart - literally - and listen to your body! It's surprising how much it knows!

Wow. Sounds like you've struggled through quite enough already! Hopefully you're about to bust right through that plateau and move on to be the next Lance Armstrong. Hehe! Thanks for your support on my SparkBlog. It always helps to know others are experiencing the same struggles.
