Hello!
My name is Susan and I'm a Focus-on-Home Mom.
As a Christian, I recognize God created everything and everyone. That we each have a sin-nature that we must conquer through accepting Christ as our personal Savior, saving us from the trap of sin.
As a Wife, I desire to partner WITH my husband, helping him in all areas of life.
As a Mother, I wish to pass on the Torch so generations to come will recognize Jesus Christ as the only Savior.
As a Home Educator, I wish to prepare each of my children for life, by giving them a solid foundation based on God's principles, which will give them the confidence they need to succeed at anything they'd like to achieve.
As a Woman I want to help change the world, for the better.
I want to share the Love that changes the world.
I want to teach people to value Christ and what He has done for us.
I want to teach people to value Life and protect the little ones.
I want to teach people to value our United States Constitution and to understand that We the People rule, NOT those politicians in DC.
And I want to have a whole lot of fun doing all these things!

Fitness Minutes: 33,185

My Goals:
My goals are
to wisely balance my day as a woman, Christian, wife, mother, daughter, sibling, friend.
They are all aspects of being Me. And I am going to be a healthy Me.


My Program:
I have a bad habit of creating goals and not following through on them.
So I erased my old ones and am writing afresh.
This year, I am testing (for my own personal curiosity) the Cellerciser, a rebounder that can be found online. (Dave Hall). Supposedly, 10 minutes a day on this rebounder changes your body from inside out. Since they are fun to use, I'm pretty sure I can stick with doing my cardio on this.
For many years, I've put forth a good effort to lose weight and had to battle my way through figuring out what works and what doesn't.
I have come to the conclusion that I need to do cardio for an hour a day to get my weight moving downward.

My program will be:
Rebounding for 50-60 minutes at least 3x a week, but preferably more. I am committed to doing 5 or 10 minutes on the 'lazy-feeling' days.
Because your muscles can tone up just using a Cellerciser, I'm going to refrain from my usual routine of dumbbells, just so I can observe what happens to my body.



Personal Information:
I have 9 children ages 25, 23,22, 21, 19, 17, 16, 14, and 12 as of February 12, 2019.
My husband and I are both 50, me being older than him by 9 months.
I have a Marine son, with another who was just sworn in, and another training to join. Another son is newly engaged. My adult daughter works at a mission in another state, teaching young children.
I am home-educating the youngest four, which is a whole lot easier now. At one time I was teaching eight at a time.


Other Information:
I'm a book lover! An ideal quiet time would include a Window Seat, some fluffy pillows (at least 3 ), a fleece blanket, or Grandma's quilt, a few favorite books to choose from, some snacks (preferrably not healthy, sorry, but...TRUTH! Let you know when that changes!) and a big hot chocolate! Oh and don't forget the Quiet! Basically, I lean toward old fashioned stories.
Favorite author: Janette Oke...Love Comes Softly series. And yeah, all the rest of hers also.
Anne of Green Gables books and movies.
Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensiblity, Emma . Etc. I'll think of more later!

    YW!!! It's just not fair how FAST men lose, by just thinking "Oh I need to lose weight" and 50 lbs fall off with just that THOUGHT in a MOMENT!! Whereas us? Hmmmm

    Hey the 5% Challenge is currently accepting members if you are interested. It's a GREAT challenge for learning to daily take good care of ourselves (Drink water 1 or 2 weeks,,, track food another week or 2, being Thankful 1 week or 2, etc) along with exercise.
