It's the Climb
I have been wanting to lose weight for a while now. Well, I guess everyone does. I mean, who doesn't want to look and feel their personal best. It's making the commitment to see this thing through and finding the motivation to continue is what I have been having trouble with. I would say life gets in the way, but that is just an excuse. I'm full of excuses about what's holding me back from starting and committing to reaching my goal. What's holding me back? Maybe fear of success? or ...
Maybe fear of success? or failure? I use my weight as a shield to keep from engaging in life.
Until now. I am ready to begin this journey. No MORE excuses. It's time to get back into the game of life. I have started by quitting a job that makes me unhappy. I think a lot of the weight I was gaining around my waist is due to stress. With my old job, I ate out everyday. Unhealthy choices. Since I've started my new job, I am taking my lunch everyday. I've been cooking supper at home. Yesterday, my daughter, who is nine, helped me make vegetable-beef soup. She said she wish we could eat like this all the time. I want us to. To eat healthier.
The hardiest thing to do is going to be giving up my sweet tea. But I know I can. I've done it before.
I've started getting up early again. Now I look forward to getting out of bed in the morning. Now I just got to start adding an exercise routine in there.
My new 2 month goal is to be 10 lbs lighter.
In 4 months, 25 lbs lighter.
In 6 months, 40 lbs lighter.
Those are obtainable goals I know I can reach.
