Gosh I am at a lose for words...that never happens :) I guess I should start by letting you all know who I am? * My name is Karilyn but my friends call me Kari. * I have three awesome children ages 14, 15 and 18. * I am 42 years old * I am married to a wonderful man going on 20 years now! and * I have struggle with my weight for over 20 years. Like so many of the others I have seen on here I tried all sorts of diets and with the success and then eventual failure of each and every diet ~ I never clued into the fact that the only way to keep off the weight (once you loose it) is to keep up with what ever mode helped you get it off in the first place!! I realize no diet in the world will ever work for me because I won’t stick to it for the rest of my life but instead I need to make some HEALTHY life changes and really take a look at how I was eating! I started on the Journey to lose weight when I went to the Dr. 11 years ago. I hopped on the scale and it read 315 lbs. I was so depressed and you know it still amazes me how a number can create such a mood change. I went home that day and binged and felt sorry for myself. I do realize I am not hurting anyone but myself and that if I want to be around for my babies I need to straighten up my act!! Now too much time has passed and not enough weight has been lost (currently 262 -8/1/20). I found this great site and cannot wait to jump in and use it to help me to achieve a NEW BEGINNING! I am looking for support and from what I have read of others this is a great place to look for that!!
