5/7/10 Well I am back at this. I had a great March and I lost 4 pounds and 4 inches, but I let that go to my head. So in April I GAINED it ALL back. I am tired of the YOYO. I will get this under control.

My Goals for the next few weeks is get a walk in every day. (Or run if it is my running day)

I had a great accomplishment in April. On April 24th I ran the same 5K that I ran last year and my time last year was 41:55, this year I set my goal to do it under 38 minutes.. Well not only did I do that, but I came in at 37:20. I was so pumped! I will continue to run and I hope to do the 5 mile run in my home town in July of this year!

2/22/10 Well it is time for me to get back after it. I will log my food, I will continue to work out (Which I did not stop except for when I had my appendix out) and I will get back on track...

7/27/09 So yesterday I did it! I completed my first ever 5K! And to top it off, it was also my husbands first 5K! We did it together. Granted he beat me by 10 mins, but that is okay. I met all three of my goals I set for myself. 1) Jog the whole thing (DONE), 2) Finish the race and not quit (DONE) 3) Beat a time of 42 minutes (DONE DONE DONE!) My official time was 41:55.. I was so pumped. This site has done amazing things not just in a great resource for learning but a lot of inspiration! I will post photos hopefully tomorrow from the race and my big finish!

5/1/09 Last night I actually jogged on the treadmill for 25 minutes straight and let me tell you. It felt AMAZING! I went for 1.9 miles. WOW! I am only 1.2 miles away from jogging a whole 5K. With this confidence I have I am going to start researching my first 5K race. One of my coworkers tried talking me out of it, but there is no way that will ever happen. Just because I do not eat fast food for every meal or not work out like him.. I am me! And I make my decisions based on my faith in God! I try to do my best to follow the path he has set for me and I am so glad he lead me to SparkPeople!
I can not wait to complete jogging a 5K! Oh what a great day that will be!

3/20/09 Today is the first day of Spring and also the first day I fit into a Juniors XL shirt in a LONG time!! Usually it is a Womans XL or 1X... So for me to be able to shop in the Juniors section and not have to stretch the shirt out to make it fit feels wonderful!

3/11/09 It has been a couple of months since I have been on this site and I think it is time for an Upgrade!

I have made a big change in my life and have started on a better track. I realized that working out sometimes and eating what I wanted on occassion was not working for me! As of last night I have given up soda all together. Even though I was just having 1 diest soda a day that is sodium and other ingredients I do not need in my body! And I have given up fried food. I am DONE with it! I can not continue on that same mentality if I want to be a healthier me! I have really enjoyed my time here at SparkPeople and the last 2 or so weeks have fallen off the band wagon.... But I am BACK and more ready than ever!
