On a hike; and enjoying beautiful upstate NY. Wish I could do this more often - I live down in NYC.

I decided to post my experiences as a way of encouraging other women with very light bones and/or proportionately long legs - such that their natural weight is substantially less than most of the charts, guides and so forth. We have special issues that need to be aired.

My Goals:
My goal is to go to and stay at my normal weight, which I think will be around 110 lbs, but I will judge that when I get closer to the initial goal.

My Program:
I am using a very healthy organic, mostly vegetarian, diet. i.e., raw fruits and cooked vegetables. Plus yoga and long walks occasionally as exercise. I do not count calories.

Personal Information:
My body is naturally very lightboned, curvy and thin. It is probably the closest you could find to a real life Barbie doll. But there are problems. When I was growing up, my mother stuffed so much food into me that I had a few years of near obesity. And the psychologic residue created problems that carried over into my adulthood.

Other Information:
At 13, I weighed 95 lbs and was already 5'7". In my adulthood, I weighed 112 lbs, and felt best at that weight. But as you read (above), there were problems that had been created in my childhood, and my weight too often strayed to 128 lbs, with occasional spikes to such heights as 136, 142, and once 153. I find very tiresome the misguided doctors and friends who would tell me such weights are "normal" for someone my height. Height is not the only factor!! If you have small bones, you should weight a lot less, and if your legs are proportionately long, then your body is proportionately smaller than the average women of your height - adding to the need to stay very light. I also know these higher weights were wrong because I would have no energy, my digestion would go haywire, etc. I am writing here to encourage other women (and men) with my light structure to find their own right weight and disregard the negative people.
