JIBBIE49 Find a good doctor who will put you on Metformin so you have a normal blood sugar level. Mine was 115 and a doctor I saw told me "You don't need Metformin as diabetes starts at 126." I found an endocrinologist who is an anti-aging doctor who told me "Read the insert." It said "IF you might become a T2D, you can start now." He said "You are close enough." My BS is 100 now and I no longer eat in the middle of the night. He also put me on Armour Thyroid as he says no one over 30 has the thyroid they did at 20. I take a weekly shot of Bydureon which also helps and I've gone from 186# to 138#. Do you have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)? I know now that I did when I was young but back in the '60s no one talked about it. I stayed thin because I only ate once a day at supper (intermittent fasting, but I didn't know that.). I just knew I could be a really fat person if I ate. When I did get pregnant at age 24, I had to take Clomid. Once I got pregnant and didn't "diet" I gained 60# going from 125# to 186# when I had my son. So, read Richard Bernstein M.D. "The Diabetes Solution" as he has a full chapter on PCOS and he says most young obese women have it and they need to be on Metformin. He has lectures on YouTube. 548 days ago
