I figured it was time to write a different introduction as a lot has changed since my last one. I don't want to completely erase everything that has happened since then, so I'll add a recap of all of that:

I've battled with my weight forever but after a bad few years reached a point where I didn't think there was any hope for me ever being a "normal" size. I was dieting and working out and gaining anywhere from 1-4 pounds per week until I reached 295 pounds. Since I was barely eating and working out, I didn't know what to do. A friend recommended I go see a doctor and after 3 months of tests and crazy lab results, I was diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor started me on an insulin resistant diet and I was able to lose 75 pounds and learned to really love life!

And now....

It was March 2010 that I was diagnosed with PCOS and by August I was under 220. I'm currently in my third year of medical school and I have used it as every excuse that I could for why I couldn't lose more weight. I stayed right at 220 for a few months, went up 4 or 5 pounds for a few months, and then in the past two months have went up to 245. That's where I am now, and so for now, my goal is to get back where I was. I always talked about wanting to lose more weight when I was at 220, but now that I'm up here, I would be happy to be there. I love the quote "I wish I was as skinny as I was when I thought I was fat" and it is so true. It's what I'm dealing with now. So for now...the goal is to get back to 220. Once I'm there, I'll try to get down to 210, then to ONEderland, and from there until I meet my ultimate goal: a "healthy" BMI right between 170 and 180 pounds. I know I have slipped up in the past, and I know there will be hard days in the future, but I'm determined to keep progressing and eventually reaching my goal!

My Goals:
To actually make my lifestyle change a true change for life. Not only doing what I have to do to lose weight or be healthy for now (because I unfortunately know from experience that as soon as a lifestyle change becomes temporary, so does the weight loss). I want to be more conscious of what I am eating, being sure to be as healthy as possible in every way possible, get more activity in, and to end my addiction to food!

My Program:
Insulin resistance diet, working out 5-6 days per week

Other Information:
Motivation is key: I know that it is a journey that is not easy to succeed when attempted alone. I am open and willing to any buddies, etc. that wants to embark on this with me!
