Feels good to feel good!
I have had a weight problem for my entire life. I was a chubby baby, a hefty toddler, a big boned child, a 'thick' teenager, and an overweight adult. Wooo! That's a fun way to start things off, isn't it!?! On to better things....this is only the story of the begining of my life, not the ending.

The first time, I really started to take my health/weight seriously, I was 21 yrs old. I went about it in a really bad way. I hardly ever ate and what I did eat I obsessed about and all I did was run. I ran and I ran and I ran. Guess what? The weight came off! I was down to about 175 which I loved! I was curvy but in a sexy not flabby way :) Guess what else? As soon as I met someone (my husband) and I started living a 'normal' life again, I gained ALL of the weight back plus some. Who knew that when I started to eat again, I'd get fat again....HA! From there, I had my second child which just packed on more poundage. My highest weight ever was 280 and that was full term pregnant....can you believe that my highest weight not being pregnant was also 280??? Yep, pretty big accomplishment right??? Not so much!
Well, once I realized that this weight wasn't going anywhere on it's own, I got my butt off the couch. My husband, who is like freaking superman on steroids, has always been my best friend and my biggest fan. He is freaking awesome! Anyway, we found a mixed martial arts gym and there it began. It is the most amazing, empowering workout experience you can get!! (In my opinion of course!) I am so much stronger and faster and more confident, not just in myself, but also my ability to protect myself. My husband is not the head trainer at that same gym and that is pretty much our life! I babysit during the day and hit the gym at night. Our children are involved and we are all better people for it.
Since then I am down 50lbs which is awesome! I beat myself up alot. I blame everyone else, I make excuses, I cry and whine, I fight with myself....the list goes on, but I DO IT. Most of the time, haha! If I were really strict and did things to a T I would be done losing weight by now. That's just not possible for me. Perfection and I don't get along so well...so I do it my way. I make mistakes and I try to not beat myself up to badly. I eat too much and I try to balance it out within the week. I treat myself like crap and I try to be nicer.
Recently, I have added running back into my program. Not obsessively like before, but I'm getting back to it :) I ran my first actual 5K the weekend of my 27th birthday. It was amazing and I couldn't help from crying when I had finished.. Who knew that the girl that has always been fat, always been obsessed with food, would turn into a woman that not only had the courage to enter a race, but the determination to finish it. It changed how I think of myself a little bit :)
So, here I am now, 65 lbs left to go. I'll get there. I'm not that same girl anymore....I'm the woman that runs races :)

My weight had decided to boycott against me so I have decided to boycott against it also!! I haven't lost a pound in months!!! BUT I have lost tons of inches and 5% body fat in just the last two months! I'm giving the scale a big F-YOU!
My Program:
I work out 5-6 days a week. I rotate between boxing classes, kettlebells, and my own circuit training.
I track my calories on SP, something that I think is critical to weight loss!! Sometimes you don't realize how much you are eating until you write it all down!
