Introduction Text I was on SP a long time ago and lost 33 pounds. Then I herniated 2 disks in my lower back and gained a lot of that back. I started SP again and just when I was getting back on track my husband was injured at work and put on disability. 3 months later I lost my job and the back flared up AGAIN causing more tests in which I found out I had degenerative disk disease. Just as I got my back in line (no pun intented) I was in a nasty car accident where my car was totaled and my back was too. When the physical therapy started to make improvements, my jaw locked up on me which turned out to be an impacted wisdom tooth that was badly infected! It was removed but the infection was pretty bad and the recovery was (and still is) a long one. I'm almost ready to start SP again and this time I mean to stick by it. It's been almost a year since "going back" to my diet and I've found myself no longer at a slow crawl but at a dead stop. I think I want to loose weight because I was always a 132 pound athlete & dancer. Now I'm a middle aged mom of three with hips and thighs and a belly that just won't quit and I hate it. My husband keeps telling me how beautiful I am and how much he loves my body the way it is but I need to loose the weight for ME.. I don't ever expect to be that thin again, that was 20 years ago, I just want to feel good in my own skin. I want to look at myself in the mirror and LIKE what I see. So...I've decided to move when I can and try not to beat myself up over the times I can't. I even went back to school! Massage therapy. Here's to the new me!

My goal is to show off the tattoo on my back without worrying about belly fat in front. And, yes, I'll admit, though I'd never actually HEAR it, I love to THINK my 19 year old sons friends turn to him when they're out doing whatever it is that 19 year old boys do these days and say "dude... your moms HOT!"

My whole progrm has changed since getting laid off from work in August and the problems with my back. I haven't been the the Y in a month although I keep promising I'll go. I have to take it day by day...

Although we live on the Cape at the moment we are moving in June to a much less populated area. The house we got is a historic one, needing lots of work which is right up our alley. We'll have to restore the whole thing- house, barn and yard, so I'm hoping that'll be part of my new routine. Once I start moving, enjoy where I live and have something to focus my time on, I'll loose some weight.

I'm a nature lover- a tree huggin dirt worshiper (according to my bumper sticker) and I love everything all natural. I hate the beach (but pay extra to live here- go figure) and love the mountains (but can't get a job I can live off of in that area). I am laid off but my husband has been home with me most of the year so it hasn't been that bad. My husband was a house painter but was injured last April and has had 2 surgeries and no work since then, but somehow, we make do. Things could be better but we always seem to make ends meet. ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE!
