UPDATE January 20, 2021: Today is a big change for the United States. My prayer is for God's Will in our lives.

UPDATE March 29, 2020: I discovered Plant Based Whole Foods (PBWF) last December (2019). My brother-in-law had to have a stent and his doctor recommended this way of eating to lose weight, lower his cholesterol, and lower his blood pressure. I had been struggling with pre-diabetes for about a year, and I also struggle with high cholesterol and blood pressure. SO...I decided to give it a try after doing my research. I can’t tell you how much better I’m feeling, plus I’ve lost 24 pounds! It’s a different way of cooking because I’ve also removed oil from my diet - so, sauté is a whole new experience, lol!

UPDATE January 2019: I’m reading a new book by Mike Bayer, entitled: Best Self, You Only Better. It’s helping me put my ducks back in a row to find the determination needed to get back on the “healthy road”.

My husband and I are retired! I know I will need to be careful about snacking since that's my downfall.

This is my journey to overcome a chronic tired feeling and constant joint pain. I had total knee replacement in 2012 of both knees. My recovery went great and I have awesome range of motion, plus no more pain!

My Goals:
Focus on a healthy lifestyle during retirement.

Change my lifestyle to one with a health and exercise focus.

My Program:
Exercise 5 days a week - 3 cardio and 2 strength training. Weigh once a week. Drink 8 glasses of water everyday. Stay within calorie range.

Removing "processed foods" from my diet. Eat fresh fruits and veggies everyday.

    The holidays will really be a blast at my house. We are going to all eat Spark People food...turkey bacon, no sugar, fat, or real desserts. Then we may all jog in the snow or exercise and dance to the Christmas Carols. I stay home now I can really plan this!!!(Dont get scared-mom's not) No I am really looking forward to it. I already want to put up my Christmas lights!!! emoticon

    I have finally decided to start back with SP. Gosh I am needing motivation. But I look on SP and I can always find something great to read. I am doing well eating probably because I always forgive myself. We have some kind of vacation next week, not sure what. Joey has a few days off. How have you been? Are you still keeping up? It is hard in summer. But I am never going to "give up". I will just keep going. I guess each day is a new day! Hope you have time to respond. See ya soon! emoticon emoticon
