Here we are 2013, I've been with Sparkpeople for almost 7 years. In 7 years I have made some amazing friends who are so supportive and loving. I have learned about nutrition and fitness. I challenged myself to accomplish several 5K & 10K races and also fund-raised for the Arthritis Society and completed the Toronto Waterfront 1/2 Marathon in 2009. After completing the 1/2 in 2009, I took a little break from running and when I attempted to train again, I was pushed to far to fast and end up injured. It took a long time to get my shins back to normal. As a result - I got lazy.
In the last few years I have focused more on my career than my health. Thankfully, this has been successful and my career is going where I planned.
So here I am ready to make changes. Not because it is New Years Day but because it's the right time.

I can do this. I had the power all along....

My Program:
My plan is to use the resources available to me. This site is a wealth of information and I also have it as an App on my smartphone. No excuse not to log my food.
I also added an App to my phone to remind me to drink water.
I am committed to exercising 4 days per week to start for the month of January.

I am a creative person. I love painting and photography. I use to bellydance. I like reading non-fiction. I''m a great cook! My favourite movie is The Wizard of Oz. My favourite quote is: Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off the goal.
