Update: May of 2020
I've gained back about 15 pounds since last fall, 2019, and am really working at losing it again. I've had several setbacks with back issues and dizzyness issues, but they are getting much better. Also:
It's been the end of the world as we know it since sometime in March.But, it is now May, and life goes on and this, too, shall pass. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.


So. Here we go again, lol.. I'm back, it's March of 2019, and, as the Farmers ad says, I know a thing or two because I've learned a thing or two.:) Got my attitude adjusted and this time I'm doing it, no excuses. See ya on the journey! (P.S.- I'm leaving my last entry up as a milepost, so I can remember what I was up to three years ago!)



Hey, friends! Updating this page as of 9/26/2016.

I've made two major changes this year.
The first was that I did a Whole30 back in January/February and since then I've been mostly paleo in my diet. It's just because it suits me and not through any real health issues. I feel I'm eating healthier this way.
The second was reading "Younger Next Year" by Crowley and Lodge, which is very thought provoking and really challenged me about my fitness and exercise habits. That's only happened in the last several months, but because of it I started walking more, biking, and even joined a yoga class. All good changes. I can't recommend these books enough, they are terrific.

Still have that 20 pounds to go, but I think I've got a better handle on them now, and certainly more motivation. And hey, if I only gain muscle tone and get more fit, well, the weight's just a freakin' number on the scale. :)
