I know I can I know I can I know I can
58, going through menopause and back on Spark.
Onwards and upwards as they say..
I'm nothing if not determined (and getting lots of practice climbing back on the wagons!).
It's been tough with all the health issues for myself, my daughter and now my husband. Add to that now taking care of my mom who lives with us (88 yrs and frail); its tough to find time to eat properly and care for myself. So many things make her nauseous and it's tough ...

It's been tough with all the health issues for myself, my daughter and now my husband. Add to that now taking care of my mom who lives with us (88 yrs and frail); its tough to find time to eat properly and care for myself. So many things make her nauseous and it's tough to find something she can eat so I'm not making two meals all the time.
Hoping to find the time and the discipline to keep up with my goals. SO far, lost almost 20 pounds... mostly through intermittent fasting. It seems to be the only thing that has helped given the menopause has made it much harder.
Here's to staying true to myself!

My Goals:
Eating healthier
Get more fit
Lose weight
Reduce stress level
My Program:
Eating at the table instead of in front of the television; will help me to be more mindful of what goes in my body
Logging my food; both good and bad; keeping me on track with my calorie intake
Exercising to the best of my ability; being mindful of my body's limits to ensure I stick to it
Learning to let go of things I cannot control
Personal Information:
I'm 58, married and looking to get off the yo yo diet bandwagon. Love to travel and stay active outdoors when the weather cooperates. Absolutely love gardening... both my peace and my nemesis.... I often tend to overdo it by spending too much time gardening... with fibromyalgia it's tough... an alarm is not enough as i'm good at ignoring them... lol.... so my husband and mom both let me know when two hours is up.... giving me time and energy to finish whatever needs to be finished right away and clean up. Need to find some less taxing hobbies!

May life grant you the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can and the wisdom to know the difference. Life is what you make it. You may not be able to control what life throws at you but you choose how you react. You only live once .. make it count.
