Happy to be me.


I have been a yoyo dieter for most of my adult life. I want to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle regardless of change going on around me. I lost about 15lbs by myself then found Sparkpeople to get me through to my goal and stay there.

I love to travel, but this is when my eating and exercise plans go awry.

My Goals:
125 lbs by May 23rd
120 lbs by July 4th
Maintain healthy weight til the end of 2012.

My Program:
 Follow Sparkpeople eating plan.
Keep a food and fitness diary no matter what.



Personal Information:
I was born in England, but my parents came from India. I am married to a great bloke from Ohio since 1987.
My son Kieron was born in '91 and daughter, Tara in '95.
I love life!

Other Information:
 The challenges of my work life throw me out of my routine. I tend to take advantage of those times and overeat. Hence the weight problem,

    With spring just around the corner I thought this was a perfect time to share this Poem about springtime. Hope you enjoy....

    Sweet Spring

    When the gloomy gray sky turns to clear azure blue,
    And the snow disappears from the ground,
    When the birds start to sing, and our moods start to lift,
    Then we know Spring is coming around.
    When the first flower bulbs poke their heads toward the sun,
    Golden daffodils, hyacinths, too;
    When the brown grass turns green, and the wildflowers bloom,
    Then sweet Spring makes its showy debut.
    Once again we awake from cold winter's pale dream,
    As our minds and our bodies revive;
    We rejoice and delight in spring's colorful sight;
    Each new spring makes us glad we're alive!
