I'm here to get fit and lose weight. My life has had some major changes this year and every one of them has been positive, except that once I started focusing on how well everything else was going in my life I stopped caring about my weight. I'm at my highest weight of all time, and determined to lose it. I have always struggled with my weight, and always felt the need to be skinny so others would approve of me, like me, envy me, all of that garbage. This year my outlook on weight and food has changed completely, and I no longer fight the battle of wanting to be skinny, but I do want to LOVE MY BODY, which I don't at this point. My relationship with food has changed, and I love sitting down to a beautiful healthy meal, I love to cook and eat healthy foods, but I have realized over time that I also LOVE junk food and snacking.

I moved to a new city in July 2012, and since then I adopted a puppy and have been running and walking every day. I lost 10lbs when I moved here, and have gained back that 10 lbs, plus an extra 15. I am happy with all other aspects of my life, so this is the last piece of the puzzle. I have an extremely supportive boyfriend who eats healthy and we love to walk our pups and go for bike rides together. I have support all around so this should be easy, right? I need to push myself to take the first step, the rest should fall into place.

I've done this time and time again. Lose some weight, gain back twice as much. My mom was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in March which took my eating habits and exercise habits into a downward spiral. Looking back to March, April and May I don't even know how I made it through. After a 25 lb weight gain, tipping the scales at nearly 200 lbs (highest weigh in being at 195) I felt disgusted with myself. Finally I went to visit my mom in June and she was doing better, which was a huge relief. Things are starting to fall back into place. My eating and exercise routine are getting back on track as well, so now that weight should start falling off and I will feel like myself again. One foot in front of the other, small steps and I will lose this weight in no time.

"It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop".

"The way you start your day affects every single minute of the rest of your day."

"Often we have to learn to love what's good for us"

"Your life is an occasion. Rise to it!"

"Strength and growth only come through continuous effort and struggle."

"I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated."

The Virgo child is born to a mother who is not happy with the money the father makes, so the child grows up with a critical parent. Virgo learns to criticize because she wants to "get them first, before they get me." She really is a shy, introverted person, who dislikes loud noises and crude people. She never can tell her mother how she really feels, and her father is most often a passive man, but a good man. She learns to be frugal with money, because she had fear about not having any as a child. She gets along well with Taurus, Capricorn, Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. She can have health issues with her bowels. She loves to teach others how to live life well. (Dr. Phil is a Virgo.) She has few children, but makes a good mother who keeps her children on the straight and narrow. If she is done wrong in love she will leave and not think about looking back. When she is over with a relationship, it is over. She won't be made a fool of twice.
With the Sun in Virgo you are predisposed to be hardworking, conscientious, and well-organized. Modest, discriminating and thorough, everything you do, you do well. Practical and down to earth, you are a diligent worker with a competent, discriminating intellect. You are highly analytical and exacting, especially adapted to handling projects with painstaking perfection. Thus, you are fond of good workmanship and the utmost in quality. You are dependable because your approach is always one based on common sense and a realistic and analytical assessment of the problem.
You give much attention to detail, but you can carry this to extremes, becoming fussy and critical, sometimes interfering. Large-scale projects can overwhelm you because of your insistence on perfection. Unless you can deliver such quality, you may become frustrated and discouraged. There is always the tendency and danger with Virgo that the big picture idea will be missed in search of minute details. You expect yourself and everyone around you to be perfect, often setting yourself up for disappointment. Your outlook is too negative and picky sometimes.
Modest and unassuming, you are usually content to live in the background. Your attitude, at times, can become puritanical and prudish. You consider yourself an ordinary person, and you are never given to any airs of pretentiousness or showing off. There may be a tendency for you to see your role as one of service and "behind the scenes" support activity.
You have a serious attitude toward refining your mind and acquiring knowledge. With your highly varied interests, you can gain a remarkable amount of data about different subjects. You instinctively know that you must grasp all parts before you can fully understand the whole. Systematizing and detail organization are your strengths. You are idealistic, but always practical and reasonable. You're not likely to make general statements based on too few facts.
You may be somewhat health conscious, for you have an instinctive sense of balance in diet. You're very sensible in taking care of your health, and for that matter, the health of others. Often, the Virgo becomes exceptionally neat and orderly, even a bit neurotic about cleanliness. You're likely to be susceptible to stress related problems because you do tend to worry too much.
