It's amazing how this journey changes, yet continues. I have indeed reached one goal, however, I'm currently in pursuit of another. One not quite so lofty as the magic number 135 but simply to always live as healthy and fit as I possibly can. My current weight has nothing to do with the changes that have occurred in how I view myself and what I hope to maintain for the rest of my life.

I'm blessed to be married to a wonderful man. We have a successful, intelligent daughter and a grandaughter who continues to grow more beautiful both outwardly and inwardly with each passing year.

We live a nice life, dividing our time between New York and Florida. Retirement is more than I dreamed it could be which is another reason we want to continue living it to the best of our ability. That means staying healthy, fit and involved with life. We love to travel, dine out, cook, fish, golf, bowl and spend time with our friends and family.

My Goals:
May 08 - New Goal: Get to ultimate goal wt. of 135 and stay there forever!

Jan 09 - Reach Ultimate Goal Weight, still 135

Aug 09 - New Goal. Continue to be a healthy, fit senior until I reach 100!

Jan 13 - New Goal. Get back to 150 and stay there!!!

My Program:
Faithfully logging in all food and exercise. Making conscious choices about what goes in my mouth. Making exercise a normal part of my daily routine.

Personal Information:
I'm 70, been married 22 years. to David. We're both retired and loving it! We have 1 daughter, son in law and grandaughter. We live in Newburgh NY at Orange Lake during the summer and St. Petersburg, FL during the winter.

Other Information:
My hobbies are exercise, computer, traveling, golfing, fishing and spending time with friends. I love to read, watch football, pro and college and Yankees baseball.

    I'm new to sparkpeople and looing for some encouragement and a friend to talk to. I am struggling with sticking to a healthy plan and drinking all my water. I'm really not sure how this works. If I make my comment on your page will I hear from you or anyone else who might be able to provide some suggestions. I have lost 72 lbs with 40 more to go and I'm just struggling with this last 40 lbs.

    Hi~~just joined your page!! I am 56 yrs. old and since menopause, have slowly been gaining!! Joined an exercise gym on Feb. 1st of this year and I am exercising 1 hr. a day 6 days a week. I have been also logging my food with Sparks and keeping a journal. I was putting in my own menues but I guess I am looking for a simple already set meal plan for me that I have to follow pretty much to a 'T'!! I hate taking the time to plan everything myself! I would like to lose 20 lbs. by Aug. 1st, 2007!! Any advise would be greatly appreciated!! Trying to figure out how to jump-start my metabolism even tho I'm exercising alot!! Thanks!! 'Wanttolose'
