Hi! I'm a 52 year old lady. I started exercising a year ago, after having two heart attacks in 3 short months. Turned out that they were due to a very rare, deadly tumor on an adrenal gland. Nothing wrong with the heart, thank God. However, after spending over a month in the hospital with nothing to do but eat, and having quit smoking while there I have gained weight. I came home with orders to walk to rebuild the heart and found that I really enjoy the exercise. My age has also helped to add those inches to the waist line, my main goal being to lose some of them.

Well, that is old and outdated. Wrote it about 7 years ago. I now own a Curves Franchise, teach Zumba and am training for a half marathon in Utah, The Zion Half in March 2014.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose inches around the mid section, would be happy to lose about 10 pounds also.
As of today, 10/12/2013,my new goals are to build my business, finish my CPT with ACE and finish the Zion Half Marathon in March 2014

My Program:
I work out daily and my goal is for 1500 minutes per month. I wear a pedometer and try for 15000 steps daily. I aim for 8 glasses of water daily and keep calories around 1500.

Personal Information:
I live in a small town in Northwest Pa. I love the outdoors and when time and weather allow I can usually be found outside cleaning out ponds, filling bird feeders or "playing in the dirt."

Other Information:
My favorite quote is "Reach for the moon, if you miss your still among the stars." Favorite song is "Someday" by Nickleback.

    Thank you for your wonderful and positive comments on my Spark Page recently. You have really helped me with my decision. I am going to leave the 5K jog challenge for now because it seemed to be the major cause of my over training, but I am going continue with the Boot Camp challenge.     This is my first post. I have to admit I am not real motivated yet but know I have to take off the weight around my middle. I try to walk around the block daily, weather permitting. I go to water aerobics 4 times a week. Two are with an instuctor. The other two are with class members. I wish I had someone near me to do this with me. I am also recouperating from a hip replacement from a year ago that required 3 surgerys and has left me rather limited with what I can do.
