Introduction Text I have been following Sparkpeople and logging my exercise for almost 15 years now. My original motivation was weight loss (surprise!) when I started South Beach, which taught me a sensible way to eat. I lost over 20 pounds and maintained it for about 7 years. After retirement I gained a pound a year, not ideal in my early sixties. We moved south 2 years ago and steady walking and pool exercise plus grilling alot and more water consumption brought me back to retirement weight. Then a dislocated knee sidelined exercise and we went North to visit family and voila, an extra five pounds!! Back south now and thinking I need to participate more in the Spark community to keep my focus. Wish me luck!
