day 50 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 1/16/2015day 10 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 8/11/2015Gorgeous spring day - great for walking outdoorsis psyched! A good day....Close enough.... 😊Still recovering from pneumonia so I only managed a 14 min ride today (with hills) in the warm sunshineScale # dropped, got step goal in, and walked for 35 min in the sunshine. It's been good day.Just finished an invigorating 45 min walk in the sunshine! #goalexceededDinner: cube steak, carrots, baked potato and salad. It was too much! So now lunch tomorrow is all set 😊Tonight's dessert: vanilla bean creme brulee (+extra egg) with fresh raspberries. It doesn't get any better than this!Tonight's dessert: vanilla bean creme brulee (+extra egg) with fresh raspberries. It doesn't get any better than this!Thought I might get wet on my return walk, but all was good. When I left work I had less than 2000 steps. Just finished 5K+ walk and broke 10K steps! #metime #metmygoal #healthymoms #fitness #beautifulwisconsinTonight's dinner experiment: zucchini patties. They were delicious !!Lunch!Lunch!Very appropriate verse today since I was finally able to go walking again 🙂What a beautiful sight from Farmers Market this morning (bonus: I walked the 2+ mile round trip) Red & purple potatoes, purple pepper, raspberries, yellow "sugar" tomatoes. Hubby got red grapes, spinach, cucumber, grapefruit, pears, carrots and apples yesterday. Eating the rainbow this weekend! :)Beautiful sunrise this morning! #nofilter#feelinghappy
Work has been insane the last few months so I'm taking another break today as a vacation day. Perfect timing - it's 80°F and sunny, an unusual event for October. Used this time and took a good walk before lunch.
Plus: a book arrived in the mail today. It's a copy of "Color Shift" by KnitPicks. One of my knit designs is in it!!! I'm so excited! I feel like a real designer now, even though I have several self-published patterns already. :)Balancing out family pizza night with lots of veggies on my (homemade) slice and a large spinach and broccoli saladIt was a grass and gravel walking day with all the sleet on the roads. 31°F and windy, but I needed to get outdoors. Managed a 40 min walk!Papa is sick now! I'm not used to having to spontaneously come up with dinner plans. So I made pizza (wheat crust) to appease the 7yo with a good helping of fresh veggies to make me happy ☺️Hubby made veggie loaded quiche tonight: spinach, broccoli, onion, red pepper, mushrooms. Just a little bacon for flavor. Delicious! For the first time since I replaced my Fitbit (this fall), I hit 10k steps - plus whatever I walked on the beach without it!! I love visiting Florida in FebruaryI've really enjoyed this warm weather and sad to be going home tomorrow but it will be good to see my hubby againTold hubby I was going out to get some Vitamin D. Not sure how absorbed though my nose and lips 😀On the menu tonight: lentil stew and dinner rolls, both from scratch. #healthyeatingPosted a photoThis is my idea of fast food: Street tacos. Chicken, lots of pico de Gallo, goat cheese and fresh lime juice. What happened to spring? I hope this melts fast so I can go walking again.Lunch today: leftover fajita meat (skirt steak) with loads of veggies: peppers, onion, tomatoes on a bed of lettuce. I was going to add some cilantro lime dressing but it got lost in the other flavors, so I skipped after a couple bites. It finally showed here in Wisconsin and turned cold overnight (under 10°F) so I made fresh rolls and two kinds of soup for this week: Italian wedding (shown) and chicken chili. I'm going to eat well this week! This goofball makes me happy to be a mother! Happy Mother's day everyone 🙂Had a good time at the community pool this afternoon. Plenty of exercise AND sunshine, along with a little knittingThank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes! I had a great time - and ate too much so it's back to working hard again!
