I started at 265 two and a half years ago. Started caring about my health and lost 35 of that on my own but needed a bump about three months ago. I found this looking for a simple tracking program and have since lost another 15 pounds. I now weigh 215. This is not easy for me as I'm generally an outgoing, selfconfedent person bit of late things have not gone well for me.
I honestly thought looseing weight would make me more appealing but it's having just the opposite affect. I'm very straightforward about myself and looks of the women I'm attracted to is low on my list of importance.

According to this app I'm burning between 600 - 1100 calories a day. I've been eating between 1200 - 1600 calories a day.
That's a net total of between 100 - 1000 total calories to live on a day. According to my college Helth class back when we played Dinosaur Polo, a human body at rest consumes 1200 calories a day. Yet I have been on a 9 day plato.

I'm just not loosening weight as fast as I'd like to because I'm getting much more powerful. I did put on 8 pounds over the holladays that are coming off slowly. But, my clothes all fit as they did when I weighed 206. Now at 209 I feel good and am much stronger due to never giving up my cardo or workouts.
So, what I'm realizing is that my body has changed at 55 and while I still wish to become healthier and looseing weight is a part of that, staying on track will get me there.Lost a pound208SUCKS

I found this program in search of a free way to count calories with my phone. Now I find myself addicted t sparkpoints and I have no idea why. Before using this program I went from 270lbs too 225 lbs in 2 years. Since using about a year ago I've lost another 15lbs.

217pondsWhen I started this journey 30+ months ago at 275 pounds taking off weight was easy. Now for every 2 steps foward I take 1 back.
6 months ago I was down to 205 and hit a wall. Now at 217 I'm more determined than ever to reach a new goal. Because my girlfriend and I are going on a cruise in November I will be down to 180 pounds for that.
I refuse to give up!

I'm a 55 year old man and everything still works (if you know what I mean). When I'm at the gym I've noticed that women of all ages are wearing very tight/reveling outfits. I don't stair but I can't help noticing.
To me that would be a compliment but I get nasty looks when I smile. How does this make sense?
FYI - I have a beautiful girlfriend and I'm not wearing tight clothes.After almost 36 hours of storm I managed an 8 mile walk today. Had to do it!
My weight has been pretty much stagnent for a month but my workouts are getting stronger every day.
When I started loosing weight I was 275lbs. When I started this I was 235lbs. Now I weigh 216lbs and have for about 3 or 4 weeks.
People tell me I look like I'm still loosing weight and my clothes feel good but for my health I still want to get into the 180's.I've always understud that muscle weighs more then fat.
I truly understand this as fact and as I'm much phisicaly stronger then I was 6 months ago it shouldn't bother me that I'm having such a hard time loosing more weight. The problem is I still have a bit of a belly and I'm doing it to put less strain on on the rest of me.
