is chalking all of this up to a learning experience, and practice for when I have my own family... feeling a little better after blogging out my thoughts, it's so therapeutic!is getting some things done and enjoying the unexpected downtime. My cat is sure enjoying having me to herself lol.Batting around balloons with my nephews is a fun "exercise" :)Second and final cup of coffee, in my favorite mug. Making sure to get some relaxation time this morning before the chaos starts.Working on this (weight loss journal) this morning, it's so therapeutic!Sunlight reflecting on the ice layer covering all the snow, so pretty even though I want all the snow gone lol.Not exactly health related but she's the one thing that is always steady to me... And look at the love in her face!Heading out to enjoy the 40 degree weather earlier, it was so nice!Workout clothes, I never coordinate that much and it wasn't totally on purpose lol. Purple is just my favorite color :)Got me some seeds today, I really want to start container gardening... And might even get some broccoli & cauliflower too.It was so gloomy the first 20 min of my walk and then the sun peaked out for the last 10 min. It was a lot brighter than in the picture but still a bit cloudy. It was very welcome either way!Kitty-cuddle therapy, the best to start the day on a good note.Picture from my walk this morning.Coffee and a book, time to myself before getting the day started. Such a rare moment. My first attempt at "egg bites" with broccoli and tomatoes. Hope they taste good lol.Just saw this on Pinterest, so true!Snack time... It's actually lunch time I guess but I didn't realize it so maybe this is an appetizer lol. Strawberries and applesauce!First walk of the year with my nephews. 1 mile. Felt like I had more energy and strength for sure Woohoo!Played outside for a while with my nephews, planning another walk in a while. We are sure enjoying it!Walk this morning and saw the first geese of the year, of course they've been around but I hadn't seen them on the ground.Breakfast for lunch: oatmeal, small banana, and a tablespoon of peanut butter mixed together. YUM!Snack: cup of cauliflower, half small tomato, slice of Swiss, and a little turkey.First playground trip with my nephews this year, muddy but way more fun than any trip last year. Running and chasing and being silly right along with them!Half of my breakfast. Yummy.Lunch: 1.5 cups broccoli, half small tomato, pickle spear, and half sandwich (only bread we had). Nice and filling! Only around 280 cals. The sky looked so beautiful on my walk, so blue and sunny! My sister is the best, she got me a blender! So excited to finally be able make some protein smoothies with fresh fruit!Something to remember this morning, trying to find the motivation after being woken up early.Pretty sky, more kinds of birds are out, and I kind of shook my "funk" mood... Till some teenagers acted like jerks as they rode their bikes by me, now I feel mad.No butter, no oil, just pepper. Dinner: 1/4 cup corn, 1 cup carrots, 4oz baked chicken breast, and a small potato. So good.More seeds Woohoo. 7 different kinds total. Now just gotta get them started soon.Spinach, cauliflower, tomato, cucumber, and leftover baked chicken salad. Yum!More kitty cuddle therapy... But she doesn't like the picture taking session lol.Lunch: cup of cauliflower with a little ranch to dip, 3oz leftover baked chicken, and a red delicious apple. Quick and simple.Another good thing to remember. Also, looking again gives us time to prepare and think things through.Taking my parents dog on a walk around the yard while my nephews play on the porch... after going around the yard picking up sticks and sweeping the driveway for the second time in a week lol. Staying active!Acting like a kid, catching a worm at the park with the kiddos lol... Except I don't want to touch worms anymore haha!Another baked chicken salad with spinach, cauliflower, and cucumber.Happy I got a good walk in the pretty sunlight and fresh air! The only unpleasant thing was battling the wind for half the walk but that wasn't bad either :)Lunch turkey chili and the rest of my cauliflower (almost 2 cups).Look at the bottom of my hair: My nephew helping me stretch after a 2 mile Leslie Sansone workout, haha priceless! Just happened to have my iPod within reach.Sometimes I wish I could be comfortable and sleep in any position, like my cat haha... I would be SO rested ;)Changing it up slightly: whole grain white toast with a tablespoon of PB, red delicious apple, and coffee!Making a new list of NSVs! So rewarding and exciting to see how far I've come! Yeah :)So gloomy but had a great walk, minus a slip in the mud and sore hip joints from the slip. Overall it was good to be out there and see all the amazing birds!Lunch: applesauce, 2 cups broccoli & 1 cup spinach leaves steamed, and Tyson nuggets.Pinterest. Bottom says "And I'm proud of that." I try to remind myself of that whenever I get discouraged and it really helps me remember all I've accomplished.Guess I don't have a big appetite this morning: pears and applesauce for breakfast.Although this picture doesn't quite show it, it was less gloomy today and the sun even peeked through the clouds a tad. Yay!Lunch: half cup turkey chili and full cup of leftover veggies.Sunny and 50* weather, shared a walk with my littlest nephew and it was so nice!Snack time. Super low cal for a day when I can't stop craving sugar so trying to curb those cravings with veggies. Hope it helps.Way too cold outside. My face and most of my joints were protesting. Ugh, had to cut my walk half a mile short :(Gonna go brave the cold and snow to get a walk, hope it doesn't make my joints hurt more... But I can't stand being stuck inside, it's too noisy.Dedication or stupidity to walk on the backroad when semis drive back there? Idk but I used as much caution and ended up walking on the grass for most instead of the road.Lunch time :)Dinner: peas, carrots, and turkey sausage.Protein packed lunch: two eggs with sliced turkey mixed in on top of cheese, and almost 2 cups of broccoli.Saw this on Pinterest.Too bad it was too cold to get my nephews out for a walk (especially with one recovering from strep). The sky looks so pretty and the birds are playing :)Breakfast for lunch again: 1/2 cup each of pears & mandarin oranges, 1 cup Special K protein cereal with milk. Filling.Super cloudy and very windy, but boy was that walk great. Even with joint pain in my legs after a full day, I enjoyed every moment of it!Pretty sky! It was cold and windy but also so sunny and pretty out there! Two great walks in a row is awesome :DPost walk "glow." Only the third time I've walked 3 miles this year (as far as I remember). Couldn't manage a smile my face was cold haha.Breakfast. Fit & Active yogurt honey peanut protein bar plus the banana and coffee. Yum :)Lunch slightly early: cup of green beans and an egg & cheese burrito. Fueling up for a walk soon.First time walking 3.6 miles at once in 2015 :) triumph!Another great distance walk (2.5 miles) in the cold. Only two hours in between, I feel so strong! Haha. I was trying to use the "warmest" parts of the day to do my walks. From Pinterest. I love this because it's so true!A gloomy and windy, but majorly peaceful walk ruined at the end by ICE RAIN. Sometimes I hate living in Indiana. However I did get a good distance in before it started :)Another walk in the windy cold. Shorter this time but still pretty peaceful. You know it's Sunday and the weather is undesirable when no one is outside!Dinner. I had a fruit instead of a veggie, don't have any fresh and canned didn't sound good tonight.Coffee... And it's supposed to be in the mid 50s today, yay! The sun is shining and I'm majorly looking forward to my walks :) (Picture and quote from Pinterest)4 miles walked at once! Yeah! The sky was so pretty on my walk :)From Pinterest. Except I'd rather it say: "I can, I am, and I will."Took my 10 month pictures today :)40 minutes straight of actively chasing and playing with the kiddos at the park. We even had races and I was playing like a kid. I NEVER could have done that a year ago! And I was barely even winded :DGot up early (internal alarm) and had this yummy breakfast: whole grain white toast with one tablespoon of peanut butter total & a banana sliced on top. Hit the spot!Lots of fun today with the nephews at a different park. We also took 30 & 45 minute walks, before and after. I'm exhausted! Thanks to an SP friend, and her book recommendations, I am beginning to learn so much more about myself. I'm excited already and only a few pages in.Snack time!682 steps. That was only 11 minutes of our 20 plus minute trip to the park, most of it was racing with my 3 year old nephew! Glad I found something that is accurate without Internet, even just a step counter! After rain and gloom all day, the sun came out around 4 yesterday and I saw this on my walk with my nephews. It originally looked like a thumbs up with the sun beside the thumb but the wind was blowing the clouds fast.Gloomy walk, but slightly less gloomy than this pic suggests lol. It was relatively peaceful and pleasant.Lunch and post walk fuel: 1 1/2 cups broccoli with a little dip mixed in and 4 1/2 oz of baked chicken breast, so yummy!Managed to track the same amount of steps for the same amount of time at the park today except with less running/racing because my body just didn't feel up to much of that today.I'm a little proud of myself, being in the low end of my somewhat new calorie range for the first time... Some was lowered appetite, the rest was food choice. The grass is looking a lot greener since the rain a couple days ago. Yay! Now for the trees to sprout leaves.Hehe my precious furbaby is content, showing her belly :)First full walk without a sweatshirt, 60 degrees but super windy :)Greener grass yay! Love that things are getting greener but still can't wait for the trees to be green too! Some solutions to walking without pockets in pants or a heavy sweatshirt. Orange is short sleeve zip up and white is lightweight long sleeve. Needed somewhere to put my iPod and these will help. I've already found solution for phone and ID.Sunset on a truly spring day! The birds are chirping happily and it smelled like grass and freshness out there :)Saw this on Pinterest. It is so true to our journeys, it's important to love ourselves inside & out.Snack of crackers with Swiss and pears... Really wanted junk food but managed to talk myself out of it when I saw the crackers and the rest sort of fell in place lol.Bought 3 years apart, but don't they make the perfect outfit? The shirt fits perfect and I just started wearing the capris. The trees are working on their leaves, yay. Only about half of them so far.Just realized this, a couple hours after weighing in. I knew I was getting close to the halfway point even though I don't focus on it every day. I'm just living the life and building habits... But it's a great feeling! It probably doesn't look very appetizing but it tasted good: canned chicken mixed with tomatoes and southern corn & bean mix.Leisurely one mile walk tonight, supposed to be rest day but was overheated from cooking, so I'll categorize this as "being active." My usual speed is 20 min/mile or faster and my average today was 22 so I forced myself to walk slower.Just did 5 miles a few minutes ago, was a struggle to start with my nephews awake but put them down for their nap when they wouldn't cooperate and finished a great workout of stress relief!Second time being on the low end of my relatively new calorie range. Wish I wasn't so tired and could feel more ecstatic for the good choices I made today.Big puffy clouds at the park with my nephews today. Glad the sun is back. Trying to feel more normal mentally today and hoping the sun and fresh air do the trick.Oh how quickly the sky changes, dark clouds half an hour later and wind increased from 20mph to more like 30-40mph. Yikes! So much for us playing outside.Early for me, and early for Saturday, morning walk earlier. So sunny and pretty and loved having it in the morning! Really needed the peace of it all :)Did level one of Cardio Max this morning, restarting the workout routine. Plus some indoor walking videos too. Got a super good workout!Where did the sun go? It looked like this since 3ish this afternoon, more like 6-7pm instead... It was sunny this morning! Still had a mostly peaceful walk :)Good quote from Pinterest. My shadow was more comfortable in a tee shirt and shorts than I was but then I saw some flowers I'd never seen before. Then I remembered the focus was to enjoy my walk and enjoy nature, not to think about what I was wearing lol.Another good one from Pinterest.Walk with my nephews earlier this evening :)Lunch. Indulging in the sandwich as I needed something quick cause I was starving and nothing too hot or too cold due to a stupid toothache.Took a walk in the meadows at a newer park in town with my brother and nephews, probably just under half a mile. It was fun and carefree since we each walked with one boy (they walk at totally different speeds lol). From Pinterest. I think about it often, I want to be able to live life and be the best for my family. That is what keeps me moving forward the most.Dinner: egg white and cheese burrito on whole wheat, baby carrots, half a red plum, and 16 grapes.Part of today's adventures: first pic is little flowers at the park, second is a flowery tree except it looks dark in the pic, and third is a bunny I saw on the walk with my nephews. It's hard to see but that's the closest we've gotten to one lol.day 200 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 4/17/2015Walk this morning. It's warm! HahaWalk, check. Fruit as a post workout snack, check. Next is yard sale and maybe find some clothes! That would be perfect :)Breakfast: vanilla Greek yogurt mixed with one tablespoon peanut butter and a whole small banana diced up. Yum! Not a big fan of Greek yogurt but need protein and figured mixing in my own toppings with vanilla would be good, and it was :)Reminder from Pinterest. I have to remember this, that I can overcome each obstacle that comes my way.Crazy dedicated lol. Went for a walk in the rain. As long as there isn't lightning/thunder, it's mostly safe and is actually kind of fun :)YES! This, totally! I always strive to enjoy the journey and make the most of each day. Sometimes I don't succeed but I do try and that's the most important thing. Quote found on Pinterest.1.66 miles, averaged 18 min, 20 sec per mile... This with two long for me "running" intervals: one 1 min 30-40 sec, and a second at 55 seconds. Woohoo! Fastest mph I've done so far!First bathroom mirror selfie, wasn't planned but noticed how baggy my sweatshirt was. It fit snug in October and now it's super loose, even after being run through the dryer. Yay!Woohoo! Great workout with my nephews AWAKE! They did the walking videos with me before and after Cardio Max. Then I put them in the room and they were GOOD for 25 min while I did that workout, I didn't even have to go in there once and everything was in one piece when I was done! Ya!Wisdom from Pinterest.Another quote from Pinterest. This one can be true in so many ways. When a lot of us started or restarted, we had hit "rock bottom" or close to it. When we mess up we feel like failures (even though we're not) but we learn from that and can have great successes.Brother asked me if I wanted a drink. I was feeling low and almost ordered a soda but knew I needed water and managed to fight the soda temptation! They always give big waters so getting a ton of water :)Theme of the week. Great quotes from Pinterest. My spinach broke ground! I'm excited cause I didn't think it would lol. Now waiting for my other two veggies to pop up!Good one from Pinterest. We gotta make time to put in the effort to take care of ourselves. We are worth it!Worked on my weight loss journal for the first time in over a month, adding inspiration & the weight loss story I just typed up for my moms TOPS talk.Early morning motivation for anyone getting up early! Found on Pinterest. I will remember this when I wake up :)Breakfast with my coffee, another morning with a small appetite and not super hungry. My body must be getting used to eating even less than before I guess lol.Yeah! Week 1, workout 1 for a couch to 5k schedule. I did 1.56 miles of the running intervals in 25 min, and then finished with 1.23 miles of just walking in 23 min at a good pace! I'm so proud of myself for pushing through and finishing it all!Food for thought from Pintrest. A lot of us take it one day at a time, so what can you accomplish for yourself today? What are you going to do to get you closer to your goals?Found on Pintrest. I only officially started yesterday, but it did teach me that I'm capable of more than I thought.Even with sore muscles and stopping to grab my nephews baseball hat we dropped on the grass last week, I beat my record on my 2.54 mile walk by more than 40 seconds! Woohoo!OMG they fit! These are some 16s that are low riders and tight at the top even when I was fitting in two other size 16 bottoms. I decided to try them on again tonight and they fit!!!! Started at 24s at the end of May 2014.is going to enjoy my shows tonight with less interruption by noisy children. Headphones connected to the TV.From Pintrest. A thought before I leave for my walk :)My nephews and I spent 40 min at the park walking, some chasing, and just being silly. They only went on the slides maybe twice each. All the swings are pretty much broken. Very active despite that though!Truth from Pintrest. Feeling run down right now, but looking forward to my couch to 5k workout 2 tomorrow!I got out there early and did Couch to 5K workout 2. Less distance this time: 1.5ish miles for 25 min form the program and 1.05ish miles for walking afterwards. Paced myself more for the jogging intervals and had more energy/endurance (?) for the last two than I did on workout 1.From Pinterest. A reminder to put your best foot forward each day :)Found on Pintrest. This is a good one.Another beautiful day where we spent almost 45 min at the park. More trees are getting leaves yay! Excuse my finger lol I couldn't see the picture I was taking. Not exactly the most flattering picture, but walked 4.1 miles for the second time in 2015. Woohoo! And it was a nice warm and sunny day. I'm excited for warm spring days and soon summer. From my walk this morning. More trees are full of leaves now, so pretty.walked my fastest mile this morning, after already doing 2 miles of couch to 5k. I was shocked!I like this one from Pinterest. It's easier to focus on each thing (step by step) that needs to be done instead of the whole picture and how hard it will be. And also makes time pass quicker. Same thing goes for our goals!I did it, all except for getting it started I mowed the lawn! Angling and turning were the hardest and really not too bad.It took me a while to realize this. It's about a CHOICE not to eat certain things at certain moments, not about "can't" or depriving myself. I CHOOSE not to waste calories on things I don't really need/want. ---quote found on Pinterest.Kid stuff with my nephews: saw a RED ladybug (most are orange), saw an almost black toad, and hunted for worms! Lol spent a whole hour outdoors exploring.Jump ropes. Might start practicing soon but pulled these out as a portable exercise while on vacation in a couple weeks.Words of wisdom from Pinterest. Love this!... You are capable of more than you think! (Graphic from Pintrest)Everything is so GREEN now yay!!! Even in the past few days! I was so shocked and happy when I noticed!Ready to workout. Huge NSV: liking how I look in a ponytail. I've NEVER liked how I looked with my hair up before :)Found on Pintrest. I think this is funny because when I first started I likened the weight loss/health journey to a road trip which is what helped me learn to enjoy each moment more. The road trip itself is just as much or more fun than the destination (depending on where I go lol). From Pintrest. Definitely something I've learned over the course of the past year!Just finished 10 min of jumping rope in some light rain. First time jumping rope since I was probably 12-14 years old!!! It wasn't very impressive but it was kind of fun lol.First was taken April 4th and funny thing was, I thought the grass looked really green after some recent rain... But look at it today, May 10th! Wowee! LolMonday inspiration? Found on Pinterest. It's amazing how blogging it out helps. Hope the rest of the evening goes smooth and looking forward to a fresh day tomorrow! And that's the truth! (Found on Pintrest). This is something I work hard on. It may take me time but I do succeed and USUALLY turn my mentality/emotions around within a day now... Before I could have been in a bad mood for days on end. This is so important to our journeys! (Found on Pintrest).Gonna do Couch to 5k week 3, workout 2 this morning... Hoping it goes better than the first workout for this week. Going from 60 second jogging to 90 second jogging is no joke but more of a mental battle for me. (Found quote on Pintrest). It's Friday... and only 5 days left until vacation!!! :D getting stuff done for it and I can't wait!Increasing to my 3 pounders today for biggest loser cardio max! Was carrying my 2 pounders in one hand, thinking that wasn't very hard so decided to grab these ones! 😀I got the boys toys packed! 1st bag hotel toys, then there is one car bag for ea boy. Also have a box with animals & books to share for the car too!I agree with this in the sense of keep moving forward, however we need to remember that shifting plans isn't giving up or throwing in the towel. (Found on Pintrest).Only 3 days left now! :D hope these days go by fast with all the prep work. I can officially start the frenzy later today lol.At my sisters house and the sun decided to come out a little bit :)Now down to counting down hours. The excitement level is through the roof! (Found quote on Pintrest).California sky with palm trees from one of my walks this week. There is a chicken near where I'm staying... In the city... Plus some roosters all over and other chickens lolNot the pic I wanted to share necessarily but this is from Sunday going to church. I was actually kind of excited to wear a skirt again. I hadn't worn this one in 5 or more years and it made me feel kind of "dolled up" lol.Ah I can't get enough of the California sky and weather! Yes I'd rather have 100 or more temp days than high humidity, feeling like I can't breathe or just so sticky and stifled! Today is 100 and I still feel like its a breath of fresh air lol. Only here till Monday morning though :(made it safely to our first hotel destination and wired. My furbaby is giving me a lot of "stink eye" for being gone for two weeks lol. I missed her like crazy!Celebrating 1 year! 95 or more pounds lost! The transformation is amazing to me, both in body and mind 😄â¤ï¸Truth... Found on Pintrest.I like this one. This is basically what I tell everyone who has had a slip up or is feeling down/they can't do it. Remember this. I found it on Pintrest so go save it for yourself if it will help :) and remember, as long as you are TRYING and keep moving forward when you hit a bump in the road, you're doing great!A year later, it's about time I made a new motivational board for my laptop background lol. I had it on the one I made last May for a whole year and have been wanting to make a new one to reflect my current mindset and all my accomplishments. This only shows part of it though since the whole thing won't fit.I love this because it kind of fits with things I'm discovering about myself now. I had already been shedding that "perfectionist" attitude regarding a lot of things... But recently realized that I can be "good" in my mind as long as I'm doing my best and being the best me I can be. (Found this on Pintrest).100 pounds even lost this morning, less than 10 pounds till I reach onederland! Eek! It's been a long road but at the same time feels like just a fun journey. That really reiterates to do your best, work hard, and enjoy the little moments :)... Found quote on Pintrest. Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging words on my blog regarding the new goal! I will check those things out for sure! From Pintrest. Something I will be remembering.Snack time!3 mile walk, exactly half in the rain and half without rain... Glad we didn't have thunder/lightning while I was out there since there was a possibility! Good walk!Good words of advice from Pintrest! This is an NSV: wearing a skirt just for the heck of it. I actually WANTED to even though I just did laundry and have other options. Woohoo! 😄💜Decided to share this lol. I don't think it's very helpful but it is funny! My first thought was "if I imagine it's ice, I'm likely to freak out and injure myself instead!" Not really but that's what was going on in my mind hahaha.-Sophia Loren (found on Pintrest). I love this one because it is so true! Confidence in yourself and feeling you're beautiful can affect how you look to others! But most importantly, it affects how you feel about yourself!(Found on Pintrest).day 14 of my streak for "Log in and spin the SparkPoints wheel" earned 6/15/2015When you commit, stay committed. This applies to more than just my commitment to healthier living and I want to stay strong. (Found on Pintrest).I'm so excited to have a Fitbit finally!!! Almost 13 months into my journey. Woohoo! Got it set up now and ready for tomorrow 😄🎉First day with a Fitbit. I knew I was active now but wow! lol kept tweaking it. This was probably a medium level of active for me, especially considering I had my nephews and we usually stay busier than today.Fitbit Day 2, slightly more active but still not my most active "regular" day. I'm super curious what that type of day would look like lol.Beautiful day today, so happy and energized. Restarted couch to 5k and really enjoyed that!Fitbit Day 3... I guess I'm not gonna hit the calories burned goal but happy with the rest! This little guy actually hopped TOWARD me (cautiously a couple hops) instead of running in the opposite direction like they usually do. He was the fourth one I saw during my evening walk.I need to set this as one of my backgrounds on my iPod! So pretty and such a motivation with one word! Running is so addictive!Half a frozen (but half thawed) mango mixed with vanilla Greek yogurt. Tried to blend it but my blender doesn't want to cooperate.Day 5 of Fitbit. Still loving it! Yesterday was a bad day as far as my energy goes so didn't hit all my goals so today it's good to hit them all!Yeah :) Cauliflower with cheese snackFitbit day 6. Hit all goals, yay :)I'm going to pamper myself a bit and start painting my nails so I can wear my dressy sandal flip flops and feel good about my toenails... Not that they look bad without but there is just something about painting them lol.Mixed melon snack! Mm!Fitbit day 8. Ended up pacing my house for to hit my 15k goal tonight and then couldn't stop so ended up with 16k lol.Just cause! 13 months on the journey in a couple days, feeling good in this outfit lol.Played outside in the Lightning-less rain with my nephews since its supposed to be raining all afternoon/evening but no thunderstorms.Fitbit day 9. Goals met again yay. Had to do a late night walking video workout as I was behind on steps, miles, and active minutes after my nephews went to bed. Stinking rain lol.My running belt came, yay!Goals met early and then some. Still a few hours left of today. The beautiful sky yesterday while I took my nephews to the park. All but one goal hit today. Did well especially considering that Sunday's are a bit of a slow day.Another good one. We really do have to make the decision to not give up. If we fall off track, we haven't given up until we throw in the towel... And even then, we can still find our way back and get back on track :)Goals met, will maybe get just past 18k steps by midnight though.8pm goals met, might get more steps and water though... still have four more hours of babysitting plus an extra kid here lol.Lowering my Fitbit goals for the next few days, severely... Gonna rest my feet because they're still hurting a week later after two weeks of bad shoes! So hopefully it will only be 3 days of "rest" but I will be doing alternative exercises that don't put stress on the hurting areas.Today's numbers while still trying to rest my feet... It's killing me not to be as active as I'm used to now! :(Something I should remember right now. Feeling bummed/defeated in a way but I'm still doing what I can and doing my best because my goals are important.Third day of "resting" my feet as much as possible.Having fun with my sister and her kids for the 4th of July!Just one of the things I've learned so far on this journey.First day over 10k steps in almost a week due to self-imposed "resting." Today just took it easy and got in more steps. Will be returning to normal routine on Thursday as my feet are really feeling better :) yay for that!I guess I failed at the "take it easy" one more day thing, but boy does it feel good to hit 15k steps after a week of not doing so.Somehow I racked up 8 active minutes on my rest day from taking my nephews to the park lol.I couldn't resist posting this after finding it on Pintrest lol. This is something I continue to work on all the time. It's hard to remember sometimes!I found it oddly peaceful to be walking under the trees with the wet road under my feet. Picture doesn't quite capture the feeling lol.day 175 of my streak for "Consume at least 8 cups of water per day." earned 7/12/2015I like this one!Trying to heed this advice today... Mostly non weight/health related stuff falling apart but also some pain stuff going on that's bugging me.Just a reminder. Do what you can, do your best, and keep moving forward. This is one of the true secrets of losing weight/being successful, in my opinion. This is my favorites folder on my iPod. These are pics of myself that I love/have loved. I'm sharing because self-love is so important in this journey to lose weight and get healthy. It was important to me to favorite these in my album for easy access! There are more that didn't fit on the screen too.So true! Hard to remember but true.We can't realize this in the moment sometimes but it is so the truth. A lot of us had to hit "rock bottom" before starting our journeys... And we have to have hard times to learn lessons DURING our journeys as well. That's the way it goes. Except I'd add something like TRIALS or TIME or something similar in between commit and succeed.Goals are so important. Not so much meeting them, but having them to strive for. I definitely don't meet all my goals but use them as a tool to keep moving forward (on hard days especially).Playtime session with my parents dog and now a nap! Church again tonight since I have a ride. See she's eyeing me to play lol.So true!Dinner: brown rice, baked chicken, and broccoli. Mmm.NSV: skinnier forearms and wrist, and lack of lumpiness from were my arms rest on my laptop lol.Words of what to strive for. Take it one day at a time, don't sweat the small stuff, don't beat yourself up, and trust you're doing what's right for you and your body.Cuddling my baby is seriously my best therapy! 💕ðŸ˜Yeah :)Quality of life, what a lot of us strive for.Words of wisdom, what we all need to remember especially in challenging times.I know this is a dog but it's funny and I thought it might somewhat capture how we feel towards ourselves after a slip up.I'm particularly proud of the most expensive ($6) piece: the black and white journal that says "Believe you can and you're halfway there- Theodore Roosevelt." I mean how could I pass that up, it embodies the forces behind our journeys! Plus the kitty notebook I'll use as a journal and kitty planner for all my commitments. Spent my first babysitting "paycheck" on journaling supplies lol.Starting a gratitude journal. I think this will be a great way to stay more positive and be more thankful. First page covered with gratitude quotes and at least one scripture to keep me focused 😄My iPod armband finally came!ended up doing the DIY cake toppers for my nephews cake this morning while they were gone, too tired last night. Might be just what the doctor ordered anyway! My baby joined me â¤ï¸ðŸ’•ðŸ’œCoffee coffee coffee! 11 degrees outside right now and about to go out in it lol.Yep yep yep! (Apparently I'm a fan of saying words three times this morning lol).I may have only gotten to the gym once to use the elliptical but the rest of the week went REALLY well, fitness wise! Woohoo! 🎉🎈Goals met! ✅I like this one :)Coffee + a book. Good "me time" even though I'm not alone lol.Ready for week 2 of half marathon training. Adding in yoga this week, just 6 poses that I know and like that are good for runners! Excited to move forward!Consistency is key. We are building habits and striving for progress!Lunch: baked chicken, green beans, and peas.In hindsight, I probably won't do ST and yoga back to back again lol.Step goal met, but as I was doing my exercise this evening after my nephews went to bed... The stress of the day built up in my head and now I have a bad headache grr!Sky looked pretty while my nephews and I were outside playing in the snow.30 minutes of actively playing in the snow with my nephews. They had a blast and it was kinda fun for me lol.Cuddling my baby who thinks my evenings should be completely and absolutely DEVOTED to her lol. I'm exhausted. I've been moving around and being active almost literally nonstop today 😌ðŸˆMost steps and most calories burned than I've had in a very long time!Feeling like it can't come fast enough these days lol.Late lunch: baked chicken, carrots, and peas. Yum!The sky looked absolutely beautiful today, blue with big white puffy clouds!Hiding in my parents bedroom with the dog, trying to recharge.Hehe feeling a little silly but mostly triumphant for getting in the rest of my steps AND my strength training just now. I almost didn't do the ST today, but glad I got it done.Wednesday's numbers! So true. Never compare your journey to anyone else's. You have to do what works for you!45 minutes out in the snow today, got myself some 1300-1400 extra steps while the boys played!Precious baby keeping me company. That makes three days in a row over 10K steps! Woohoo! My sparkpeople order came yesterday and this is the sparkpeople bracelet! 😜I love this one! Trying to remember that just because I'm not totally "on plan" right now, it doesn't mean I'm not making progress. It is a high of 60 today woohoo! Spent almost a whole hour outside even with strong winds of 20-25mph. I got close to 3000 steps while we were out there too!Week 2 strength training= CHECK! Proud of myself for sticking with it!So pretty outside today! The sky was this beautiful shade of blue while me and the kids got some muddy park time in just now! This is one of the biggest things I've learned in my journey so far. Be proud to be you because there's only one of you!FOUR DAY STREAK of 10K or more steps!!!This is from yesterday. I didn't take many pictures today since it was even nicer and I was busy soaking it up lol. I like this picture though!Another active day. First 12K day in at least around three months!Week 2 of half marathon training in the books. This week I add in actual interval training woohoo! My mom just surprised me with this heart ring! Size 8! I think I was a 10.5 or so a couple years ago! Perfect day to start my interval training for the half marathon and I surprisingly dressed completely right for it! LolYesterday's stats. A 10K day woohoo!Tired. I seem to have caught a (hopefully minor) cold. After therapy and an exhausting trip to the grocery store, I'm ready for a nap but that's not in the cards lol.Bought cauliflower today and already have it cut up, ready for cooking later. First time for everything.Reached my step goal without any "active minutes" and no extra effort. What a rarity for me. Battling this minor cold is leaving me tired.Went into my brother and nephews bedroom to walk in place to get more steps and decided to turn my music on... Well guess what, I ended up walking and dancing in place for 34 minutes lol and hitting my 8k goal by 430! Maybe I can get 10k before the day is over!I like this one!Wednesday's stats. 10K steps always feels good to hit!My sleepy late night buddy. I 💜 her!Hand is killing me after shoveling hard packed and icy snow. It was only for like 10-15 min, geez. Leaving the rest to my brother hopefully, but there's a lot out there and I will probably have to shovel out my parents van in the afternoon.NSV of feeling more toned and slimmer for the past few days lol. I love this feeling! All my strength training is starting to show a bit.11 inches of snow but it was 33 degrees. I had to improvise since the boys don't have snowpants but we got nearly 30 minutes out there and I actually played with them nearly the whole time.Thursdays stats. Lots of calorie burn with all the snow shoveling and playing out there. My arms and back are sore today though lol.Fridays stats. Seem to be doing well getting 10K or more, 4-5 days a week so I'm happy with that progress :)Proud of myself for getting out there with all that snow, BUT I wasn't able to do much interval training like I wanted and needed to, so a little disappointed.I hope a good deal of our snow melts by Monday afternoon. There was a good amount of snow shrinkage today and it was only in the 40s for the afternoon.Saturdays numbers! Another 11K, I'll take it lol.You would think I was choking her, the faces she makes lol. She always looks away from me when I hold her like a baby, even though she is totally fine with it and even ends up looking blissed out after a while from getting mommys attention haha. I was so tired last night when I took this, I was cracking up and couldn't stop laughing 😂My baseline goal has been 8000 for quite a while. I've been hitting 10k often enough that I decided to just up my goal on Fitbit to that ðŸ˜ðŸ’ªðŸ»ðŸ‘ŸðŸ‘£Still piles of snow everywhere but a lot melted so I was able to do my interval training a lot safer. The backroad has a grassy "shoulder" too which makes me so happy! That makes the backroad safer too which means I don't have to be stuck inside my community right now! 😜💪ðŸ»It was positively beautiful out there! I was soaking it up!This is Week 4 of my self made half marathon training but Week 2 of actual interval training sessions. Moving right along even though last week didn't go so well because of factors beyond my control. I did my ST in the hallway today for it to be easier than having my nephews pass me here and there, so this was my view lol.So very true!I really like this one 💕💪ðŸ»Got about 500 steps walking back and forth trying to figure out how to make a big enough fort for my niece and nephews lol. What a workout it is to simply construct it. This is the biggest one I've made.Played out in the yard. My 3 year old nephew and I climbed this snow hill together. It was fun climbing up on the little hills lol.Earned a new badge lol. 990 lifetime miles? Wow.Struggling with this now. It's slowly taking over no matter how I try to fight it. I don't feel totally depressed but I know it's there, if that makes any sense. All THREE half marathon training sessions in this week. Woohoo! Just finished the third one today :)I was reading, engrossed in a book. When I put it down and looked at her, she had her tongue hanging out lol. My precious baby, keeping me company.Messy hat and wind hair from my 3.55+ mile half marathon training session lol.Warm enough for short sleeves! 72 degrees. Played outside with my nephews for half an hour.Spent like an hour helping my nephews and niece climb trees and finally found one I could climb on without totally hurting my feet. The good, the bad, and the ugly of winter. I did this to sum up 2015 and it was very therapeutic... So I decided to do it for this winter as well. It's been tough for me to get back on track and I struggled a lot so I think this will help me realize the things I did right (or that I'm simply proud of).Proud of myself for making a wise choice at Cracker Barrel: apple cider bbq chicken with mixed veggies (broccoli/cauliflower/carrots), and fresh apple slices. It was tasty and filling. I also got a water that I squeezed lemon juice into. I did have half of one of my mom's biscuits though so total calories for the meal was around 500-520.My baby's keeping me company this morning. I'm feeling a bit better but still tired and taking it easy.Philippians 4:6... Something I've been working on for a while!Purple skinny jeans! Ahhhh! I've always wanted to be able to wear purple (or Royal blue) skinny jeans and now I own a pair that actually fits!Highlights and a haircut today. I really need a shower to rinse off the hair though! Ah so itchy! My beautiful baby in my bed with me this morning. She stretched when I stretched LOL!!! This is her after stretching. I couldn't help but love on her a bit because she is too cute!Feeling silly and positive tonight, my energy is slowly returning and my joints are feeling a lot better. She says "What mom, can't you see I'm trying to bathe myself here?" Lol she's happy and content now that the house is kid-free again, and so am I. After four days of my sisters kids taking turns spending the night, I was really starting to feel worn out!2 Samuel 22:31New sports bra and tummy slimmer tank top because my belly moving around while I run makes my ribs hurt. This combo should work really well, I think! Yay!I love having her next to me while I "chill." She has the cutest sleeping positions too haha. From my walk yesterday with my nephews. They are a lot faster now haha. We walked approximately 0.9 mile in 21 minutes even with some stops and slow parts. They did some running so I did my best to keep up, my ribs are mad at me today for it though, oh well.Getting some outside play in. I'm too tired to take them to the park lol.Hot, sweaty and red-faced from my 4 3/4 mile walk outside! Feeling triumphant to make it that far still feeling strong. I had some minor soreness in some joints but nothing big enough to warrant slowing down or stopping so that's awesome! My first "wild print" workout pants. I like them lol.I got myself a buddy again tonight. My parents are here so idk why she wants to be glued to my side lol. Apparently she's just as attached to me as them sometimes, or she's mad at them for being gone so much, not sure.My room has a full length mirror! I'm wearing this shirt and capris for the first time in public :) feeling good in them!Race packet pickup today!!! Race is tomorrow EEK!This is my first Disney pin. I thought it would be a great reward for the race and getting this far.I did it! I finished the Tinker Bell Half Marathon in 3hrs44min!!!Almost at the starting line of the Tinker Bell Half Marathon! So exciting!I treated myself to this shirt after finishing the half, and paid a little extra for them to put today's date on the back!Sundays final stats! Half marathon day plus some walking before and after. Then I was finally able to rest by 1230.Even after doing the half marathon yesterday, my muscles somehow had it in them for a slow two hour hike in a nature park. I went with my cousin and her three youngest who are 7, 3, and 10mos. It was fun and the perfect cure for the antsiness I've had anytime I had to rest this weekend lol.Just looked at my official time for the half marathon. I'd say for my first race, and a half marathon at that, my time was great. The Disney halfs are measured in a way that by the time you finish, you've done more like 13.6-14 miles, so I believe my final average pace was around 16-16.5 minutes per mile. Woohoo! Some clouds and gloominess here and there, but still beautiful outside today! And I'm feeling great after the half marathon on Sunday so this walk felt amazing! 2 miles in 40 minutes :)My nephews and I walked to the nearest gas station, around 2 miles round trip to get a treat. The management of our community is putting in a new (and better) playground so we couldn't go there. So I figured they could get in some adventure and exercise this way, even if it meant we got junk food, not to mention I'm completely broke now haha.Pretty flowers I saw after my dentist appointment.Today marks 2 years since I started on SP and started working to get healthier, losing weight and improving my WHOLE self!Took my nephews to the park after dinner and they made a new friend that is actually their age. And as always, I got as many extra steps as I could :)I love this! God carries me through every time!Took me five days but I finally finished it :)My baby who just had to be held lolFeeling pretty dressed in a "new" skirt and a color top. I felt so summery and bright too. I'm feeling pretty positive today since I've been back on track with my eating for almost a week and things are leveling out with my stress levels too. Getting the munchkins out to the park on this hot but tolerable evening. He is all powerful and He will carry us through.Apparently it was Mud Monster Monday lol. Took my nephews to the park and this is how they spent the whole time we were there, playing and jumping in the mud puddles under the swings haha.My nephews ran me ragged yesterday afternoon and evening, plus I almost got hit in my moms van when some idiots weren't watching where they were going as they pulled out of their driveway and about gave me a heart attack. Not to mention I have a minor cold on top of all that. I need more sleep and rest lol.Little airplanes lol. Feeling quite a bit better today, still icky but not as drained! Got the little ones to the park and also had a water fight outside in our yard.Playing at the park with my nephews. Today is nice weather though, high in the 70s.Holding my baby last night about 30 minutes into a 4 hour power outage. She was feeling nervous. Swinging on the swings at the park earlier lol, I've wanted to take a pic like this for a year or more and finally got it!Love her! She decided to get up here with me a few minutes ago. Aww.Walked from the doctor office to the bank then to the library, passing through some of our downtown. Beautiful place to walk.Water play!!!! One bigger plastic tub of water in the middle with four big bowls of water around it, stackable play cups to splash and water bottles with holes in the lids to spray. Its been a while since we were able to get in some park playtime due to the heatwave and super high humidity that passed through for 3-4 days in a row. It feels good.My purrrfect little baby wanted a cuddle this morning :) ðŸ˜ðŸ˜˜ðŸˆðŸ±Our family furbaby had surgery yesterday to remove a cyst from her behind right under her tail. This was a short period of time that I left her cone collar off and kept an eye on her. She's doing so well today.Somebody's in a playful mood hahaDid a lot better writing on my nephews cake than I thought i would lol.My niece took this pic of me and mom today at my nephew's birthday party. I have to say even with 25lbs of regain since April, I don't feel I look bad.My nephews want some auntie cuddle time tonight for some reason lol, watching a kids show in here with them.Happy to be going to my sisters overnight to drink and have fun with her before I move across the country. Looking forward to it!My moms accusing me of spoiling her dog in the past couple weeks... Oh well! HahaYesterday afternoon I had laid down to rest and my nephews had to join me. The oldest (right side) had to cover us with the blanket lol, so I had my mom snap a pic.Today is my youngest nephews 4th birthday. Managed to make his cake in the chaos and busyness. Finally free, let's see if I can cool off (hot and very humid today) and relax enough to actually get some rest!Getting some much needed rest and watching Americas Funniest Home Videos with this little lady! Lolmy cat and my parents dog in the van yesterday evening, on the way to the hotelOur babies are enjoying the hotel bed and our attention lol. Just what I needed after spending the past 12 hours at the house cleaning it out and packing. phew I'm exhausted.Puppy is pooped. We've been running around for almost 4hrs and she's gotten to say hi to lots of people! We all look so thrilled to have our picture taken lol.Spending time with my brother and this little guy while we wait for paperwork to hopefully come in the mail.Watching these crazy, energetic, monster boys while my parents and brother drive my grandparents car down to the car place to be sold. OMG. Already took them and dog for walk and they're still crazy!Feigned confidence in my swimsuit, heading to the hotel pool.Pool for half hour now the Jacuzzi is ready finally woohoo! I haven't been in a pool in a LONG time and my muscles are tired from swimming lol.Beautiful windmills we saw on the road yesterday. I loved the shot I got of them!Just arrived in our new city, not in the new apartment yet but it feels good to be off the road after being on the road for 10 days!Spent like 15min in the pool before getting creeped out... apparently I'm still a freak who's afraid of pool stuff like drains and spooked by the jet things that circulate water. Ugh.So true, and encouraging!Hehe I thought this was pretty cool, cause it's pretty accurate for me lolI try to employ this in my life every day, sometimes it's a battle and sometimes it's a bit easier.I just love my baby so much 😃💕First time working at my very own desk! So exciting and pretty comfortable too. Desk is still a bit of a mess but not too bad.Feels good to be in jeans again after my weight gain. Feeling pretty good about myself.Earlier walking in place, trying to get a pic for a challenge I'm doing on Instagram lol.Flex Friday... Not that I have muscles to show off or am wearing clothes that would if I did lol, but I took the pic for a challenge on Instagram and figured I'd post it here too.New haircut. My Siamese mix Katie whom I've had since I was a teenager, and my pup Jasper who will be 6 mos this month. He is a dachshund/chihuahua/pitbull mix of some percentage lol. I do not have human children so these are my babies. They are my reason to keep fighting, and always help me with my depression and anxiety! When mommy doesn't sleep well, baby doesn't sleep well. Last night was probably the worst sleep so far in the past week as far as moving around or tossing and turning. Poor Jasper. My little love. Part of it is this heatwave and part is just feeling restless. It's been nine months since my last haircut, but I finally got it done again! This is how I get work done a lot of the time haha.Wish us luck!Sick kids, low energy this week.
