Down another 10 lbs this month! Although 10lbs may not sound like a lot it certainly shows in our bodies ladies and gents :) we can all do this!!!! Onward and upward ??Decided to try my hand at making rice paper rolls. They are my favorite when I go out. SO good!!! I used cucumber, avocado, crab, carrots and vermicelli made from beans and peas :) I even made a spicy peanut sauce for the hubby #mobilechatI don't usually post motivational pictures but this one really resonates with me. Sometimes we are so focused on the end goal that we don't give ourselves the credit we deserve for how for we've all come! #mobilechatThese kids right here are my motivation! I want to be the best, healthiest mom I can be for themSlow and steady losses add up :) for anyone who gets discouraged with "small losses" I encourage you to take monthly pics. Be proud of your journey and keep pushing forward! We've got this sparklersDamn near perfect!!! That's the first time this has happened lol #mobilechatIt was an absolutely gorgeous day here today and we spent quite literally 90% of it outside as a family :) played hopscotch, basketball, rode bikes and went to the park so much so that when we did come in the twincesses passed out cold within minutes of snuggling with mommy ? life is good! #mobilechatLet's try something... So often we are too hard on ourselves. Comment one physical attribute and one non physical that you absolutely love about yourself! Self love at any size or age is just as important as any other goal. My favorites are my eyes and my kindness to others :) and GO! #loveyourselfDinner tonight was asparagus and cheese stuffed chicken breast with braised turnips :) so good and low carb!This my friends is what's for dinner tonight!!! I can't wait!!! Today I realized I hit 30 lbs lost since restarting in January :) 107 down from my highest weight!!!! Prepping and preparing healthy dishes to take up north to our trailer at the lake. It's always my biggest downfall because we innevitably end up eating burgers, hotdogs and snacks :( this weekend I'm bringing this chick pea salad, Greek style quinoa salad, turkey/feta burgers with tzatziki, frozen fruit and Greek yogurt and even roasting the extra chick peas for snacks #foodprep #planningiswinningHad a great weekend with family and friends up at the lake 🌞🕶️ beautiful weather, wonderful company, lots of laughs, and fabulous food all within range with the prep and planning I did beforehand. Amazing what a weekend like this can do for your soul #mobilechatEgg salad is quite possibly my favorite food and one I will never be willing to give up! My compromise? Eat it in lettuce leaves instead of bread :) crunchy and creamy all at the same time!This is the first time in a long time that I have started to become more confident in my body :) this sweater hasn't fit in over 5 years!!!!Pretty proud of myself :) I was famished but know if I wait to eat until we get to our weekend trailer I'd end up getting take out, pizza, or hotdogs on the grill so I decided to postpone the trip by 15 minutes to heat up leftovers instead! Win for sure!This time next month I'll have my toes in the sand, the ocean breeze blowing my hair 🌞 I've never ever been on vacation before so I'm excited! I even went and bought a few Maxi dresses and a bathing suit and guess what?!?! I felt good trying stuff on :)Rewarded myself with a few new dresses for my vacation next month and just pretty summer wear 🌞 I have haven't worn a dress in years! #hardworkpaysoffHad to bake up 50+ cupcakes today for a friend's bridal shower Saturday :-/ proud to say I didn't even eat one! Once cooled, in the freezer they went.... Come Saturday I don't know if I'll be so strong lolBreakfast with my twincesses 👑 berries with Greek yogurt (with a drizzle of honey for them) they are always stealing my breakfast so I made them the same thing as mommy :) #healthymomsOH MY!!!! Pesto/tomato/cheese chicken breast! Need I say more?? Low carb and very filling (I couldn't even finish the whole breast) and this whole plate for just under 400 calories 😋For the first time in YEARS I wore a cute little dress and felt absolutely fabulous in it! Not only that but I had people not recognise me lol I'm that gal second from the left with my favorite ladies and my own personal cheer team :)Proof positive that is you start them off eating healthy and letting them see you making healthy choices they'll eat anything 👍 these two are attacking my plate of salmon, quinoa, and asparagus rather than eat the "family dinner" my older two are picky picky picky!
P.S. they usually aren't allowed on the table but I had to show you guys lolStarting my morning off right 👌 Red River cereal with wild Canadian blueberries and a splash of milk mmmmmm love the colors!Been busy making some sweets for a few clients :) this cake is for a sweet little 3 year olds birthday! I love baking and love it even more now that I have the willpower to not eat the leftover frosting 💪And the cupcakes with rainbow frosting 🎂 how cool are these?!Got my exercise last night trying to free my daughter from the Bannister that she decided to stick her head into! After 15 minutes and LOTS of deep belly laughs afterwards we got her out 😂 welcome to my crazy life?I've been looking forward to lunch all day! Lol high fibre pita filled with grated carrots, cabbage, kale and 1/2 chicken breast tossed in a little Greek yogurt/salsa/water (to thin out the dressing) it is SO amazing! And very filling :)No but some days I feel like I did 😂😂😂At this time in exactly two weeks I will be boarding my plane to Mexico!!!!!! We have so many excursions planned including hiking at the cenotes and ziplining across them :) I wouldn't have dared attempting this even months ago but thanks to sparkpeople and the weight loss I've achieved and confidence I've gained I'm actually excited!Beautiful day ☀️ first kayak of the season. So peaceful out on the waterThis is the first weekend since we opened up our weekend trailer that I actually stayed on track and didn't come back having to work off extra pounds 😀 I'm SO proud of myself! As my reward I got to come home to these beautiful poppies in full glorious bloom in my front garden 🏵️The first picture was 2 years ago taken 6 months after the birth of my twins at 260lbs the second my daughter took of me this weekend at 180lbs although it's been a long hard road, I refuse to give up!!!! #motivationmonday #hardworkpaysoffFinally broke through the 180's!!!! Only 10 more lbs until I hit my next big goal of 170lbs (the lowest adult weight I have ever been) after that it's into my ultimate goal of 150lbs :) I'm feeling renewed strength and faith in myselfLove this one!!!!My little Lolo loves "exercising" with mommy while I'm in my gazelle aka my walking machine lol she uses old curtain rods and as I use the choruses of the music to do HIIT training she listens for the beat to change and says ready........GO! And we give er :) my own little personal trainer ❤️I'm back!!!! We had an amazing trip to the beautiful Rivera Maya ☀️ I've never been away because I never felt comfortable and confident enough in my body to WANT to vacation. I loved every minute and can't wait to plan our next getaway :) it also gives me more motivation to keep going to goal!Planning a family BBQ/birthday party with family is stressful!!!! Talk of food includes hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta/Potato salad, chips. Well I'm not down for that so I went out and bought watermelon, veggies, a club pack of chicken breasts (to make both grilled chicken sandwiches and salad wraps) and have made up my Greek quinoa salad. The funny part is everyone pokes fun at the food I always bring but then it's usually the first to get eaten up :)My family requested chicken pad Thai for dinner tonight which I LOVE!!! To make it figure friendly I swapped out the rice noodles for spaghetti squash :) YUM!!!! That whole skillet came to just under 400 cal!Found this little Diddy on my microwave stand today... My daughter told me the school handed out activity trackers on the last day of school?! Pretty cool if you ask me. She's already got a bracelet type activity tracker so she told me I could have this one :) what a great kid!I'm thankful that here in Canada it is now law to post caloric info on all menus. Had some very early appointments and running around to do, stopped at McDonald's to get the kids pancakes and apples. After seeing the calorie counts I decided I could hold off until we got home and made my own egg Mc muffin with real ingredients :)Side view :)When it's too darn hot to cook but you want a real meal..... I've been battling some cardiac issues and I'm letting it get me down. Found these little flatbreads and they definitely work as a fill in for the real stuff AND I didn't need but to grill it up on a non stick own real quickFirst real workout in months!!! Even though I took it a little easy and payed extra attention to my body it was still sooooo hard but I pushed through and it felt so good :) thank you to everyone who kept me in their thoughts and prayersBest grilled turkey breast EVER!!!! My friend was giving away some home gym equipment and my amazing hubby picked it all up and set up our very own gym in the basement!!! Going to get some foam mats for the floor and he's going to mount a TV in the one corner :)Chili going in the slow cooker!!!! Going to try my hand at cornmeal muffins to go with it as per my hubby's request 😕 going to check spark recipes to see what comes up 👍Today's workout was setting up my new basement gym 🤗 totally scored at a local discount store and got the foam flooring for under $100!!!A little motivation for us all 💪How does a mom of 4 find time to workout you ask???? Feels so good 💪I have been struck down since Friday evening with some awful stomach virus that I can only assume has come straight from the depths of a far off evil place :( not the diet plan I was looking for at all!Day #1 of recovery from the 5 day stomach bug begins with homemade chicken soup with lots of veggies! I think I'll add a couple handfuls of spinach once I'm feeling brave enough to eat :)Am I right ladies?!?! Lol I have a few of these dresses and will purposly buy them every now and again....why you ask? I use them as non scale victories!!!!!!I love that my twincesses generally choose good goods to eat :) kiwis were their "new fruit" choice this week at the grocery store. Everyone gobbled it up and at only 204 cal per serving it is a healthy choice for all :) I've entered my recipe into sparkrecipes for anyone interested in trying it.Hope everyone had an amazing Easter! I decided ahead of time that I was going to focus my energy on getting out and having fun with my family rather than stress out about the food. I stuck to portion control but indulged a little and I'm not even a little sorry that I did :) quality over quantity and back on track again today.
