is blogging some vacation plans.I love walking in interesting places. Another favorite road. Trails on one side, marsh on another, beach straight ahead. Fighting PMS cravings tonight. Gahhhhhh!Got this headed my way tonight so I got out and did my walk/run in the downpour before the wind kicks up. Fingers crossed for a safe night. It struck me today that there are many sections of the graph which look like failure. It flatlines or even moves upward. BUT...big picture? We're moving down toward that beautiful orange line. :)I have become one who sweats. Daughter and I hiking through a rocky creek in southern Utah. Fun family fitness. :)Took a long walk thru a rocky creek last night at sunset. So refreshing and pretty!Wanted to go hiking at Cedar Breaks, UT today, but the lightning was too dangerous. Maybe in a few days. A favorite place. Can't I have a walking path like this at home? Enjoying this "path away from my home path" for one more week. ☀ï¸Ended today's Couch to 5K, W4D3 with a tough uphill run. Huffing and puffing, I felt like I was barely moving forward at all. But then, when it was finished I turned around and ran downhill for an extra 5 minutes. Nervous about week 5, but I know I can do it. Walking fast to make it home before dark. Enjoying the evening sounds. My daughter got engaged on the 4th of July. Yippee! Now to plan a wedding! How I like to spend my active time...hiking and seeing beautiful sights. (Daughter in pic)Saying so long to this place. Here's to many more memories in future years. Now we drove home...and find the subtle beauty there. Today's hike with daughter. Broken Arch at Arches National Park. I LOVE hiking!Hiking at Arches National Park. Broken Arch. Just got home from this 13 day vacation and weighed in. Can't believe it. I'm 5 pounds down...and that included eating out multiple times a day. Woohoo! I earned that warm bath tonight.
Getting my steps in at the beach. #gitchigamiToday was all about up/down/up/down... Hiking Tettagouche waterfalls. Gorgeous. I've been away from home a lot this summer, spending time with family and seeing beautiful sights. Got home yesterday, went for a walk and was welcomed back with this lovely sunset. Ugly but super tasty brunch. Spinach, onions, peppers, portobellos, olive oil, over-easy eggs. Not liking that vacation gain, but loving the losses this week. Woohoo!Throwing back to a few weeks ago walking over rocks on this gorgeous beach. Sigh. Take me back!Favorite time of day to go for an easy run. So calming. Grilled lean beef patty on fresh tomato "bun." Messy but oh so tasty!Found a large American flag crumpled in a roadside ditch on my way home from my run today. Carried it the 1.5 miles I had left. Felt like an Accidental Olympian. Putting some miles on my new kicks. :)Hesitated before going on evening run. Just didn't feel like it. Now it's complete, I feel great, and I got to see the sunset over the cornfields. I was going to go for a run yesterday, but decided that the gym was a much safer bet. Tonight I'll be back on the roads. Kale Yeah! Tangy Citrus salad (full bag w half the dressing) and leftover garlic salmon. Oh my...deliciousness!Spent yesterday solo hiking thru the woods and in and out of ravines at a state park. If it wasn't for the time at the gym in the past months I'd have been really limited. All that work paid off. Happy!!!A new month for fitness. Here we go. Evening walk. Back to stepping. Tomorrow's breakfast. Roadside black raspberries. Yum Today's walk lead me here. Sunday Sandday. After my walk tonight. Picture in the backyard. Wasn't sure how long I was going to walk until I saw the beautiful sunset and I had to keep chasing it. A Sunday walk through the tall grass prairie was good for both the body and soul. Peaceful dusk walk. Long and slow. This is what restores me.
