I was motivated to make my own açaí bowl this morning. Trying to use up what’s already in the house. Saving $ is winning!
This is a delicious, healthy and easy dish. I love Posole but it is just too fatty. This is a perfect replacement.

is still madly in love with her guy after 37 years. He is a runner and this morning he ran past me shouting out that he would "put the kettle on" so we could a cup of tea after my walk. Cool Beans.

I’m down 18.2 pounds today. I’ve been recovering from the flu and pneumonia but still managed to check in daily and stay somewhat on track. I have been so hungry and have had a binge on sweets and junk food but today the scale made me happy.

Never was a dog person until she arrived. Best dog ever.
Avocado Toast topped with basil and strawberries for breakfast. All fresh from the farm and perfectly ripened. I am getting pretty excited for spring and summer crops to brighten up my life and my diet.
Used up the last of my organic veggies and made a chicken salad. Best part was the roasted baby bok choy! Crunchy leaves and buttery taste.
Oatmeal and fresh berries for breakfast make me happy. Today will be a great day.

Panda's are big for the under 10 set. I have a granddaughter who is mad for them and so am I! Keeping young at heart keeps me moving forward.
Losing weight has a lot to do with putting all the puzzle 🧩 pieces together.

This little burger stand brings back memories! I don’t eat them very often but I may indulge tonight!
Now it feels like Christmas! We will spend the next 2 days cooking our tamales and delivering them to the people we love ❤️ It starts with a great homemade red chile.
My favorites for Sunday! I’m down 10 pounds and feeling so motivated to make it to my goal, 50 more to go! I can do this thanks to you my fellow sparklers!
It’s just not right, I’m shopping in summer clothes because it’s 82 degrees outside and so many people have snow! C’mon California give me some winter for the holidays!

I come from a family of people who loved their food. They are all gone now. My mom is at the back in the pink shirt. I loved her so and her cooking was amazing. She did the best she could but I didn't figure out how to lose weight and really change my lifestyle until SparkPeople cheered me on.
Christmas decorating happened today at my house. Changing it up and put the tree in the kitchen. I’m using the location to remind me to enjoy the season responsibly and not make it about food.

Vegetable egg cups with a pineapple salsa is making me happy this morning.
Veggie omelette with Pineapple salsa. I used 2 egg whites and one whole egg and bagged power greens sautéed in a little olive oil.

Made a Great Pumpkin Chili for dinner with cornbread crackers and shared a beer with my guy. Now that’s a Friday night! It’s been a great week.

California problems...where do I put my surfboard.
Today I made an Okinawan dish called Taco Rice. It’s basically a taco 🌮 on a bed of rice with taco meat flavored with the addition of soy sauce. It is always a hit and I have a happy and satiated family. If you’ve never tried it you should. It’s quick and easy and on the table in about half an hour. It’s easy to control the calories because you can put what you want in the bowl.

I pruned and fed my 🌹 roses and spent time outdoors this week. It feels good to be active and getting my rose garden sorted out was such a great use of my time. I like how the dirt looks turned over!
Walked over 10k steps before noontime! First time in a long time I have had this much success! Im feeling motivated. Thanks Spark friends for the accountability and encouragement.
Happy Halloween! It is one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. Trunk or Treat this year was creepy too! I’m not going to let the candy get the best of me this year! Promise.
