Ive been going through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn because of pain in the new hip i got in June of 2005. It hurts all the time and my doctor plus at least two other doctors had no idea why. Dr at Mayo said its more than likely from Burstis so last Thursday (5-1-2008) I got an injection of novacaine and Cortisone and can really tell the difference. Ive been more active already this weekend with hardly no pain. Also need a new knee on the same leg or at least some work done on the knee. With all that pain it has been hard to walk or exercise to much. Hopefully this will be a turning point for me to get with the weight loss program.

    Hope your hip is feeling much better now. I couldn't do the shots for my back or hip because they gave me horrible side effects, but I know several people who have had great success with them. There are lots of exercises that can be done even with hip, knee, back, foot and other problems. If you enter "limited mobility exercises" in the search box at the top of your start page you should find something that will work for you.

    Those shots work -- and any relief is welcomed. I had to get one in my shoulder on Friday. Hope you continue to feel better.

    Hi. I'm glad that injection helped you. few weeks ago i ahd an injection of cortisone in center of my hand for problems from trigger ginger, arthritis, carpol tunnel syndrome and me, too can really feel the difference. there is no apina t all that I ama ware of. i was rather jittery of the injection though. I sure hope you are on the mend.
