I just got the book The Wisdom of Menopause and started reading it last night. I read the diet section first of course and it sounded like she was talking about me! She was describing the belly fat and the difficulty losing weight and the weight gain even though nothing changed. It is called insulin resistance that is caused by a diet high in refined carbohydrates which I love and eat although not that much as I use to but still the weight will not come off. Even the lab values she describes are the same as mine. So today is the first day I am going to try the the diet she recommends. I did have creamer in my coffee I just look forward to that every morning.
