Goals, Goals, Goals...

So I weighed myself today and I lost 2 pounds!! emoticon

My husband wants to go to his family reunion at the end of this month and I am setting myself a mini goal....
I now weigh 166.........My goal is to lose 10 pounds by August 1st!!!!

So people.......... I have (including today) 18 days to reach my mini goal
I think I can do it, and I plan on working hard in order to reach it!!! emoticon

I know this is definitely a challenge but I know I can do it!!!

Just watch me..... emoticon

    Ok! So I made it to 160 by Aug 3rd, not the 10lbs, but not bad either! :) Have you made your goal yet? How did it go? I see you have new workouts listed for August and I love that you do that! I have 6 1/2 weeks left of the contest and I think I need some inspiration.. I'm starting to feel that slump! Maybe I'll think up a challenge for myself (a mini one) like you did with the 10lbs. It is August 8th today and if I make my next goal the end of the 8 week mark (with 4 left after that) around Aug 23rd. That is 16 days.... hmmm. Could I do 8 lbs? Could I do 9lbs? I think I will shoot for 8lbs making me 152 (Im still at 160). What do you think?

    OF COURSE you can do it! I love that you made a plan!! Plans work! They keep you accountable and give you a specific thing to do. On days you don't want to do it, you know what you were supposed to do, so it sort of hangs there. It works for me! OK, August 1st....10lbs? Sounds good! I'm at 168 right now, would you like a partner in crime? I'm doing the contest at our local Y so a mini goal sounds good! I have been doing some walk fit tapes on my off days and was going to do the Leslie Sansone 10 day challenge but I wanted her other video before I started (really BIG 4 miles). However, for this kind of challenge I think I will need to step it up a bit!!!! I will keep checking your post for inspiration!! Our weigh in days are Fri, Sat or Monday at the Y. This weekend we have a group workout and then most people weigh in. Maybe I will wait the extra 2 days and weigh in when you do! (I think I'm really at 167 right now, but my last official weigh in was 168)

    In any event, with or without anybody else, I know you can succeed!!! Write your goal weight of 156 (is that right?) on a card, color it in brightly and put it up where you will see it constantly!! Think that number over and over! I'm so excited for you!!! This will be great and you can do it! emoticon

    ah, 10 pounds in 3-1/2 weeks is really pushing it, but if you get there, KUDOS to you!!!
