more delays

Wednesday, October 08, 2008

Shelby was overheated when she woke up today so our day started off w/Shane running for a puke bowl for me in case it came down to that...eventually got Shelby ready for school. I dropped off books at a library, p/u my meds, came home and finished the book I started yesterday (LOVE Karen Kingsbury) while I let the anti-inflammatory have a chance to work. Felt soooo lazy - I'm usually doing so many things throughout the day. After I finished the book I did some chores which my back let me know wasn't the best idea in the world. P/u the kids, brought them home, respite took Shelby to a hand splint appt at therapy, Shane and I worked on his homework and it was awesome w/just him and I - he was in such a good mood. Steve came home, changed, the boys left for my mom's house then when Shelby got home, she and I headed over there too. Tom helped yet again w/the floor in the kitchen, Steve and I covered up the spackle w/paint, Shane helped clean up misc. things on the floor, Shelby did her homework...everything was flowing right along until I told Shane to get his shoes he left outside (we had a dinner picnic in the backyard) and he ran right into the screen door...that had just been re-screened and bent the frame. Oh my gosh - words can't begin to describe how I felt since I had told the realtor that the house would be ready on Monday then it wasn't and now, Shane messed up the door, so yet another delay. Steve did his best to fix it but ...anyways, we got home, I watched Biggest Loser, talked to friends, did some e-mail and dealing w/the back's constant reminder that it still isn't healed yet.
