Steve's lack of effort

Sunday, October 12, 2008

We had a wacky night of sleep, eventually got up, did showers, ate a yummy breakfast and rec'd a phone call that my uncle was leaving so we did a few more things before leaving to meet him and my cousin at my mom's house. Steve helped them move the furniture into the u-haul they rented and they helped Steve load up 2 things into the truck. While we were at my mom's house, a realtor showed up w/a family (yeah!), then after they left, we did a little more clean up. We got home, hung out then Shelby and I left for the b-day party. It was fun since we knew so many people there. We left and went to church. Once there, I talked to Steve in the parking lot and he did NONE of the things I had asked him about (bringing the check to church, the cans to donate for a special project, getting a new filter for the fridge, cleaning the fish container) and more then to add insult to injury when I got home I discovered, not only did he not wash the 2 big things left over from breakfast that were in the sink, he put tons of dishes into the sink and not a single thing made it into the dishwasher. Anyways, back to church, I really, really enjoyed the service, and got to say goodbye again to the main Kidsfest director and her husband, both of whom my children adore, then Shelby and I rocked out all the way home to loud music. She wanted to watch the rest of a movie that was on tv then off she went to bed. Tomorrow is unplanned. The boys are off hunting again so it's just Shelby and I. She called a girlfriend yesterday to see if she's available tomorrow and - typical for them - they haven't called us back. So I gave Shelby a bunch of ideas to think about.
