Workout progress!
Wednesday, October 22, 2008
I am proud to report that last night, for the first time since getting back on the wagon, I had what I felt was a productive workout. My music was playing, and I felt good. I only ran for four minutes of it, but it was easier. I still have a long way to go to get back to where I was. My knees hurt today, so I suspect I may have overdone it a bit in the impact department. I will have to be just a bit more careful about how hard my feet hit the ground. I am still struggling to make time to fit it in all of the scheduled days, but I think I am on the right track here.
It feels fantastic to be sweating and enjoying it.
I was a tad disappointed that I have not dropped any more weight when I stepped on the scale, but I suspect that largely has to do with the fact that my food habits are still rather poor. Soon, I will have to buckle down and start tracking it all again. I am not good on my own. When it comes to starting all over again, I keep telling myself baby steps. Every little bit counts, and every tiny success will lend me the energy for more!
