Looking for inspiration

I spent most of the summer traveling, camping and living out of the car. The best thing I did for myself was not eat a lot of fast food while on the road. During my three week trip to Oregon I ate at Burgerville twice (it's been seven years since I'd had that taste - a little too rich though. I had the harvest veggie burger both times with tillamook cheddar, walla walla onion rings both times and a raspberry shake and a blackberry shake.) and one Subway lunch.
My husband and I spent three weeks in Wyoming during the month of September. We were photographing the wildlife! We mostly ate out of the cooler. Our down fall was having Pringles as an afternoon snack. I generally don't like potato chips, but they unfortunately tasted good at the time.

Back home for awhile I am trying to set up the pantry and fridge with good stuff! I will not be buying a lot of prepackaged food. My plan is to have a ton of staples in the house that I can work with. Last week I made practically everything from scratch. My biggest challenge is going to be portion size! I really love to eat. And I love my food most of all.

I'm looking for that little thing that is going to inspire me to get this weight off finally! The trouble is that I am happy with my life and I don't want that part to change. In order to live a long and healthy life I know I must shed many pounds!

So... here goes another try!
