Home Day

Sunday, November 02, 2008

So, although it was a home day, it was quite "the day" - we did everything from play board games, to watch movies to take the dogs for walks and take out the garbage and recycle cans for our house and our next door neighbors to practice the poems S&S have to memorize, to help Shelby w/her science for an upcoming test to do 3 loads of laundry, read the Sunday paper, help Shelby do homemade play dough and "water play" - Shelby's version, do texting to a friend, talk to a different friend, make a fancy dinner, drop 1/2 of it onto the floor - yeah, it was one of those days too, Shelby peed her pants, the poodle pooped on the carpet (it's been raining for days...until this afternoon - ahhh - finally, sunshine!), reorganized the pantry and the silverware drawer since it wouldn't be enough that the chicken I cut up for S&S would land ONLY on the floor but into the silverware drawer also, worked on getting ready for my dad's Christmas present I'll have to order and have come back before we leave for Arizona in a couple weeks, put away some Halloween tubs which led to some garage reorganizing. do a couple dishwasher loads, ..an on and on... then we had to reload Shelby's backpack since one of her helpers left their coffee cup in her backpack that tipped over, spilling the coffee and staining the straps of Shelby's AFO's, soaking the 2 extra sets of clothes we had in her backpack, getting on her homework planner, shoes, wipes box... Anyways, tomorrow is library, classroom volunteering, Shelby has a braces appt that Steve's taking her to since I have to go to the PTA meeting now that I'm apparently secretary.
