Rain, darkness & bullies

Monday, November 03, 2008

I am sooo not a rain person nor am I a person who loves the time change when it's dark earlier but regardless, my day was ok. I did my morning thing, came home, did chores, computer stuff, talked to my "MIL," went to the library and book store, home for lunch then left to volunteer at the kid's school but as I was 30 seconds away, I rec'd a call from Shelby's teacher stating she wasn't feeling good so I went to her class, could tell she wasn't feeling 100% so let Shane and his teacher know I had to take Shelby home, signed her out and we came home. I got her all comfy on my bed, and we hung out. I called my FIL and he was nearby (bitter me: of course, he was playing pool 15 minutes away from my house like he does every weekday yet NEVER swings by to see his only grandchildren) so he came over and hung out w/Shelby while I p/u Shane. The 4 of us hung out on my bed chatting for a little bit then went into the kitchen and he helped me do homework w/the kids. Then it was time to get them ready to go so as soon as Steve got home after getting gas, he loaded up the kids and took them to Shelby's braces appt. I stayed home and got ready for my PTA meeting. The kids got home like 2 minutes before I had to leave. I didn't go w/them since I thought we'd be cutting it too close. Oh well. So I said hi and bye to them, checked out Shelby's new bands on her braces and I was off to the meeting. 2 hours later, got home, said goodnight to the kids, talked w/Steve about Shane and the bully. So far, we're emphasizing "turn the other cheek" like it says to in the Bible but Steve is tempted to tell Shane to land one good solid punch in the kid's gut to end it, Steve's dad wants me to meet w/the principal with a lawyer...aaaahhhhh!!!! I just want the bullies at my kid's school to stop w/o violence/intimidation. Anyways, I need to type up the PTA notes so I'm off. Tomorrow's my bereavement class and dentist for the kids.
