Out of...

Out of touch, out of town, out of control but never out of hope.

First of all, thank you to my sparkfriends for your comments and goodies during my absence.

I haven't hit rock bottom but pretty close so I'm back into a healthy frame of mind (Day #1) and getting rid of trigger food in the house, took the dogs on our first long walk in a while, making work out plans with Steve, drank 8 cups of water...

November seems like such a blur with play dates, horseback riding for Shelby, wrestling for Shane, then we left on a 2,000 mile round trip adventure to visit my dad and his girlfriend in Tucson, Arizona then friends in San Diego and we got back the night before Thanksgiving and we spent that day with my Grandma. The kids had 3 hour days at school for parent-teacher conferences last week and Shane had his I.E.P. as well. This week I'm playing catch up and trying to get everything organized for upcoming things. This Saturday is a Santa's breakfast at the kids school, next Saturday, we're having our monthly get-together w/2 sets of friends and Santa's going to make a surprise appearance. I'm crazy anal about what gifts I give to which people and everything has to be "just right." I had to order my dad's gift right after Halloween to be ready before we left on our trip. We have almost 200 people on our Christmas card list that we either mail or give to friends/family/etc. and I have a certain way I do that...My OCD really becomes evident this time of year.

Anyways, everything's in the grand scheme of things going well. Shelby is out of her latest incontinence/heat stroke phase so that's a relief. Shane has a new "behavior modification" plan at school that ties in with his "electricals" (as we call it) at home. My mom's house is still for sale but I've been looking at other homes just to get an idea of what's available in our area. Steve's doing well now that the weather's stabalized (his hips were having a horrible time w/the weather constantly changing) and we're getting along and going on a date night w/some friends on Friday.

I'm at the wrong computer but I'll update w/new photos soon - I forgot what pics I had up.

Merry Christmas.

Hi Jen! So glad to see you back! It sounds like you had a pretty busy month. Hopefully it will slow down a little bit before the Holidays.

Jen, Thank you so much for stopping by. It sounds like you've been busy there. It's been hard for me to be on Sparkpeople and I believe I need to just officially take a short Sparkbreak. Johnny's been really sick and have not had much computer time. That plus the fact that I still can't workout because my foot has kind of put a damper on my fitness goals. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things after the holidays.

I hope you and your family have a wonderfrul Christmas.

Oh my goodness am I so glad to hear from you!!!! I've been worried about you girl! Sorry things were not the best for you and you had a rough patch but things will get better - they always do eventually! It's the eventually that gets a person though huh!!!!

I'll be watching for the new pictures you mentioned. I finally managed to get my sparkpage undated with some great photos from my neices wedding. I don't know if I've ever mentioned to you that photography is sort of a little hobby of mine. Anyway, I did the photos for her wedding which made me a bit nervous as I've never done such an important event before. I usually just do pictures for friends that can be re-done if they don't turn out if you know what I mean. The pictures all turned out great though and have a few posted on my sparkpage.

I have really missed you!!!! Gosh you had me worried. So glad to hear you are back!!!! Don't scare me like that again!
