Hmm - can't believe another 1/2 year has gone by and now it's 2009. My New Year's resolution is to stay out of the hospital all year. It worked for the past three years, but this year I may have to have some knee surgeries. So I better make 2 this year. I resolve to take off 25 lbs + this year so I total 50 lbs. I can surely do that and hopefully more.

I have just returned from a week at Apple Valley. My friend Sue and I went for a walk one day and I took her to where you can usually see deer. We could see the outline of one staring at us. The forest was so serene. Beautiful blue sky, sun shining, floor covered with orange and yellow leaves. Nothing much happening. This deer was frozen. We stood there and talked for about 10 minute or so and suddenly the woods was moving. 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9...............20 deer or more were now moving on to graze. We could only see the one yet 20 deer were right in front of our eyes. How much do we miss by not waiting! The Lord told me this one day as I prayed. Wait!!! Now I'm not a weirdo, not much anyway, but have you ever heard the voice of God? He has unquestionably spoken to me a few times in my life. Now I'm sure he talks to me more often, but many times I don't wait to hear. Always in a hurry. Well, sometimes He yells at me and believe me I need it. It's not audible but it's so loud in your head and comes out of nowhere kinda. Wait!!! I'll never forget this most recent message. Good advice for all of us. Everything should be in His time, not ours, for the right outcome.

I didn't start out this blog to preach. Hmm - I better go wait! emoticon

Vicky, you just conveyed an important message besides wait. It's also Listen. We really need to stop, wait, listen to find answers & the right path.

And deer - the other day my husband noticed 4 deer in the backyard. One of them was just outside the powder room window nibbling a bush. So hubby & deer were nose to nose looking at each other!

I know exactly what you mean Vicky! I have heard Him speaking to my heart at very pivotal times in my life...

You're so right, we need to slow down more so that we can hear when He's conveying messages that we need to hear!

BTW, Happy New Year my friend!

I knew I couldn't be the only one. I'm not schizo . . . yet. I had never heard the Yes, No, Wait thing. Awesome! Isn't it so profound and humbling to hear His voice? May he speak to you of His love for you right now!

Yes Vicky I have heard God's voice, the first time I thought I had lost my mind. Our pastor has always said God answers prayers with Yes, No and WAIT! We don't all ways hear no when we have decided yes is what we wanted. I prayed & prayed then when I never got the response I wanted I was still at it. Then one night it came as that was NO, listen. So now after I pray I sit & wait. The answer doesn't always come but sometimes it does!!
