So full!

When I say so full, I don’t mean with food. My heart and mind are overflowing with so many thoughts and I’ll do my best to share them coherently.
My sweet mama is here! She has totally surprised me and jumped head first into Spark Pages. I thought she would stay on the periphery, but she has done way more than that and gotten fully involved. I could not be more proud of her and she never ceases to amaze me.
I say it all the time, but being here has been such an amazing blessing. I have met so many fabulous people and am overwhelmed at all of the support I have received. If you are reading this, thank you for being one of those people. I could not have done this without you! July 4th was truly my Independence Day and I’m now within 25 pounds of my goal.
It’s hard for me to believe it, but I’m turning 32 at the end of the week. I’m sure my mom is cringing knowing that I just shared my age with the entire world, but I consider my friends here to be family, so it’s good. I would say that I’ve accomplished a lot in my time here on earth, but I’m nowhere near being done. I often find myself searching for the next opportunity to fulfill my purpose. Wow – 32, trust me I know that it’s not old in the grand scheme of things, but I’m definitely no spring chicken anymore. I’m getting old!
In a matter of months I will have completed my second graduate degree. My internship begins this week and I am looking forward to completing this chapter of my life. I really hope that I can manage to keep up with everything once the semester kicks into high gear. Really – I don’t have a choice, so here goes!
4 months after hurricane Ike we are finally beginning to make progress on our home repairs. Our roof has been repaired and we have a chimney once again! Our rental has a new roof and should be gutted within the next two weeks. By the spring it will basically be a brand new house.
As President Obama launches into one of the most poignant periods of time that many of us have ever witnessed, I have challenged myself to kick this weight loss thing into high gear. The period after presidents are sworn in are called the first 100 days and everyone tracks the new president’s progress. My goal is to drop this last 25 pounds and more within the first 100 days of Obama’s presidency. I’d love for you to join me on my 100 day challenge!
