Saturday after logging in my Spark breakfast, I put my workout clothes and started to read the paper before a planned workout. I began experiencing strong pains in my chest that radiated around my body to my back. At first I thought I was beginning the virus that my husband had had for several days. Then came the perspiration, the strange heart beats, and more pain. I finally realized this was not the flu or whatever and went to the hospital. To make a long story short.....they determined through blood tests that I had a "heart event". The cardiologist was very skeptical when I said that I had been working out with aerobic walking with Leslie Sansome and logging all my food in the nutrition digest. I have done this for several weeks. I could feel the doctor rolling his eyes. I had the stress test. I had already told him that I was not concerned about 5 min (supposedly the average maximum for my 65 year old woman self) . Here is the great news.....THE DOCTOR HAD TO TELL ME TO GET OFF AFTER 7 MIN AND I HAD NOT EVEN BROKEN A SWEAT AND COULD CONVERSE FREELY WITH HIM. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SPARK PEOPLE emoticon
