Need to Work harder and get life on track.

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Went to dr again Friday i'm taking 40mg of steroids for another 3 days but in the mean time my sugars are out of control so the dr put me on insulin today i know it is not the end of the world but sure felt like a kick in the guts and a slap in the face. I feel kind of lost i have been good about linking my carbs to protein yet i have not been able to meet my daily calories so i must learn to tweak my eating and fine tune it to meet my calories keep my sugars in control. I will not let this get me down however i will let it work on my anger over it to make me do better for myself as motivation and to double check what i do. I will start keep a better food diary, appointment myself exercise time and make sure i make my appointment to see the nutritionist and read more to keep up better ways to control my sugar by diet my goal is to get back in control and take over my life for me and be the person i know i can be.

hopefully as you are weaned of the steriods, your sugars will come back into range. i know it's hard for a diabetic on steriods. try to focus on doing good things for yourself. there is so much work to do diet wise with diabetes and it sounds like you have a solid plan. keep sparking forward!! you can do this!!

Those steriods do a number on your sugars, it put mine way out of control when I had to take them too. So it is a good thing the doctor put you on insulin to help. Don't knock yourself on the diet style.
The steriods do a number on you in many ways So do what you can to Think and DO healthy!

It is so frustrating getting our balance right of food, exercise and still taking care of everything we need to in life. You've got the right attitude about having a plan of action. I like that you are making appointments with yourself. Keep going and stay strong and you'll get life on track!
