Blue ribbon day!

Our community held a Health Fair last Saturday. In spite of 24-30" of new snow the night before, my little Subaru and I headed through the snowdrifts to see what the blood tests would show after 8 months of SP. My LDL, HDL, triglycerides, total cholesterol and glucose were all good. My BMI was in the normal range, even with my winter clothes on (just barely though...good thing I'd shaved my legs, removed my watch and had my hair cut! LOL). It was a happy day for me. Trying on clothes a few days later was depressing because my bod is flabby..everywhere. Ugh. Tonight I observed a cardio class (mostly 25-30 yr olds) box-kicking non-stop (and I do mean non-stop...not even for a nanno-second) for 50 minutes. So I'm going to see what SP videos offer instead. I'd rather not end my time on earth at the feet of these nimble kick-boxers (or is it box-kickers? LOL) punching the air fast & furiously! LOL

    LOL.... Please let me tell you about my time taking a kick boxing class... it was 3 years ago and a couple of friends and I decided to take a class together.... why kickboxing? Sounded like a good idea at the time. Well.... we took all 8 classes but I hate to think what we looked like trying to just stay upright for the full hour. It was HARD!!!! My conclusion... starting a kickboxing class if you're 50ish and over weight..... Don't do it!
