How Do I?

Sunday, May 03, 2009

I want to loose 15 pounds and tone my body at the same time. How do I go about about doing that without the scale going up? Two weeks ago when I joined the gym instead of the scale going down it went up. I was so upset and felt like giving up but I didn't I continue to work out because I taught the scale was wrong. Now I'm back to my weight now when I just joined because I stop lifting weights and doing all the other equipments in the gym. What I do now is walk on the treadmill and ride the bike. I just add running on the treadmill in my working.

What else can I do to loose the weight and tone my body at the same time without gaining weight?

I like to measure myself with a tape when I've been working with weights, that way I can still see my progress if the scale goes up or stays the same. Ultimately gaining muscle is a good thing though, because its more compact than fat so you still lose inches and look toned, and it boosts your metabolism so you burn more calories during the day. I know how easy it is to get disheartened when those numbers go up, but in the long run a little muscle is a good thing :-)
