Slow and steady progress

I don't know what happened last week. I've been very busy at work, and a result, I skipped several meals. I made a few bad eating choices, but was I'm sure I never exceeded my daily caloric intake. I 'substituted' many calories with alcohol. My cardio schedule was off. I only got in one good cardio workout this week (last night) and so I pushed myself hard. I knew that I had alot of calories to burn to make up for my mistakes earlier in the week. I used the stationary bike because the weather is rainy and wet (ugh!). Also, I have a pinched nerve in my lower back which sometimes acts up. Running is sometimes very painful, but the stationary bike (recumbent style) doesn't seem to irritate it. I set the resistance pretty high, put on my tunes, and pedalled until I couldn't pedal any more. I also lifted small weights while I was on the bike... might as well get the best use out of my time. Either Mr. Scale thought I deserved it, or maybe he's broken. One more pound gone. I can't take all the credit for this, however. My SP buddy keeps me motivated to do what I know I should do. She is struggling right now, but whether she know it or not, she motivates me and I thank her for that.
