My 'weigh' day is usually Saturday morning. But this past Saturday was not so good as I had gained one fourth of a pound. Let me tell you why that bummed me out so. Last Thursday morning I took my granddaughter to the movies. (Horton Hears a Who~~~very cute) and I didn't have any popcorn even though I have a bucket here at home that would have gotten me a free bucket and I LOVE movie theater popcorn. Instead I had a diet drink and smelled everyone else's popcorn. When I saw that I had gained a quarter of a pound it proved my long stated thought~~~~I can gain weight if I so much as SMELL food!! Then on Friday night after my granddaughter's dance recital, nine of us went out to eat. Once again I was very good. I watched others eating bacon and eggs, hash browns, hamburgers, ice cream fudge sundaes, etc... And I had two pieces of toast, no butter and just a tad bit of jelly and a couple cups of coffee. Again, just seeing and smelling the food made the pounds hop onto me. Now I ask you, is that fair?? And last week (before the little gain) I had made it to the Ten Pound loss list. And I sure didn't want to get demoted!! So I decided to weigh again this morning and low and behold, I had lost two pounds. Now I know that most of that was from last week and apparently I was retaining a quarter pound of water. So when Saturday rolls around I really won't expect too much. But at least for today, I am happy.
