More chemo for me...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I got the news last week that my PET scan was of concern. Apparently two spots that were not showing up before "lit up like Christmas trees" on my most recent scan, so the surgery was postponed and I start more chemo tomorrow. Apparently, although the initial tumor is "dead," before it rolled over, it took the time to spread out a bit. My onco says that I have a very "angry" cancer that, despite all of the equally angry drugs, has decided to persist. Well, let's just say that I am now an "angry" girl and I don't intend on rolling over and letting this beat me.

You go girl! Positive, powerful thinking will get you through this. Lean on us for support as we will be here for you. I had my own 'trial' this year and thankfully I am safe. My dear SIL who had her diagnosis the same day as me is still fight 'angry' Stage 3C ovarian cancer. She refuses to be beat, too. She gets her next report on Thursday....... I'll pray for both of you!
