Weekly Weight Day

WooHoo!! I lost three pounds this week!! It amazes me that I am steadily losing yet I am not starving myself. Yes, it is slow, but it is steady. I was always told, back in the day when I could lose a lot so quickly and so easily, that the older I would get, the harder it would be. I laughed at that notion~~~~~~~~~~as I gained my pounds back, plus some. But here I am now~~~~~~older~~~~~~and indeed it IS harder. But it CAN be done!!
As I continued my yo-yo weight loss, for the past seven years I have faithfully gotten on the scales every Saturday morning~~~~~~~~~~~and watched it go back up. How stupid is that?? To struglle so to lose it and yet watch it all come back!! But as I looked at my records this morning, I saw that today's weight is the lowest I have been in over two years.
In the past, I would set a goal (an impossible, unhealthy goal) and sometimes would reach it in three months. What is going to be different this time is that I am going to stay with it for the long haul~~~~~~~a year or however long it takes me. I am not trying to fit into a bikini (Oh my!) but I do have one really nice dress that it sure would be nice if I could fit into it and go out to someplace fancy.
