Weekly Weight Day

WooHoo!! I lost three pounds this week!! It amazes me that I am steadily losing yet I am not starving myself. Yes, it is slow, but it is steady. I was always told, back in the day when I could lose a lot so quickly and so easily, that the older I would get, the harder it would be. I laughed at that notion~~~~~~~~~~as I gained my pounds back, plus some. But here I am now~~~~~~older~~~~~~and indeed it IS harder. But it CAN be done!!
As I continued my yo-yo weight loss, for the past seven years I have faithfully gotten on the scales every Saturday morning~~~~~~~~~~~and watched it go back up. How stupid is that?? To struglle so to lose it and yet watch it all come back!! But as I looked at my records this morning, I saw that today's weight is the lowest I have been in over two years.
In the past, I would set a goal (an impossible, unhealthy goal) and sometimes would reach it in three months. What is going to be different this time is that I am going to stay with it for the long haul~~~~~~~a year or however long it takes me. I am not trying to fit into a bikini (Oh my!) but I do have one really nice dress that it sure would be nice if I could fit into it and go out to someplace fancy.

I can just see you in your little black dress with strappy gold stilettos flirting with your lacy wrap and your false eyelashes! All eyes will be on you! Or, at least hope that special dress fits in no time for Sunday go-a-meeting!
    Thanks for noticing I lost last week too. I did hit the bullseye by meting my goal. Maybe I can do better this week. I'll just be happy when my thighs don't start fires from all the friction! emoticon Let's keep working on ourselves until we can proudly wear a SP teeshirt that says "Spark People and I DID IT" and spread the Spark! Keep the motivation 'til we meet goal! emoticon We can do this!! emoticon
