It has to be done...no wait a minute maybe no one will notice. Yes they will! If I notice then company will...but no one comes over and "just visits" in the house...we always go riding or meet out! Well that's ok it still has to be done! Ugh. Woodwork, trim, doors. Hands and knees. Toothbrush, bucket of soapy water, cloth and of course 3 faithful dogs supervising Mom as she crawls through the house scrubbing, crab clawing, scooting, crossing legs, uncrossing legs, kneeling, muttering, reaching, bending, squatting.

Ahhhh! Bright sparkling just like new(!) woodwork, trim and walls! No more doggy and house bunny hair that looks like rolling doggy tumble weeds. No more dried blood from BJ's nose bleeds (hey...wanted to wait until I knew this doggy health issue was over) and best of all no more dust!

House cleaning...God's way of making procrastinating haters of housework albeit anal lovers of clean homes making one exercise!

The wheel of running running running and slowly getting nowhere has slowed down for these last two days. I have been better about consciously selecting healthier meals and portions are more on target, even Tippy's latest fiasco (she is leaking...dear gussy - LEAKING!) Come to find out it may be a urine infection vs the older aged/spay incontinence that was feared. This weekend of purging the house, my mind has helped. It is so very true that Life is one day at a time...I am beginning to pick my battles and will come out on top!

Ahhhhhh....now today is the day for my all time favorite...gardening and yard work. This I love and will do all day. Why, I think I will! Yesterday, housework took me a step away from the non-exercise lethargy due to my running running going nowhere wheel of Life, Work, Doggy Health Care, Hubby, Chores I have been going through...why I even walked with the doggettes Friday....hmmm...do I see a pattern here? I do believe with the beautiful weather handed us this day I am off and about! Lunges, Squats, Weight Bearing Lifts, Push-Pull, Walking, Bending, Stooping... a time for peaceful, inner reflections ("gathering wool" if you will) yet invigorating "me" time ...yard work...here I come!!

Beautiful , Ellen -so well said. Glad that inner and outer cobwebs are being banished. Well worth the effort.
I read another of my Spark friend's blogs today. She reflected on a fast paced life like hers has been. She thought that maybe life is not meant to be fast paced as we miss so much. When we can slow the pace down we gain alot - we enjoy the subtleties of life. We take the time to appreciate what we have, what we experience, and all the blessings of being here on earth. That message sure touched me.
Its "funny", but my big gardening day was yesterday and, as I gardened, I was thinking the same thing. Great minds think aike!LOL! I noticed all the stretching, lungeing, etc I was experiencing. Being close to nature, digging into the earth and feeling it on my fingers, delighting in the fruits of my labour, feeling gratitude for the blessings of God - all is so uplifting!
You enjoy your garden day Ellen! I know it does wonders for you too.
