Who I am

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

I got this idea from 3CHIHUAHUAS, who got it from PRARIELONEWOLF and GENERALGCS.Seemed like a good idea and a way to share who I am. Hope you don't mind, gals??

1. My favorite color changes, depending on my mood

2. I love to read; most books by Christian authors but do have a couple favorite secular
authors, like Mary Higgins Clark

3. I am not really into sports but do enjoy watching ice skating and gymnastics

4. My favorite movie is Somewhere in Time

5. I don't watch much TV as I prefer to read

6. My favorite season is Autumn but we don't see a lot of changing colors unless we go up
into the mountains

7. was born in Illinois, moved to Ohio when I was three and have lived in Arizona 37 years

8. My favorite holiday is Christmas because that is one time the whole family gets together
9. I was the second child in a family of four children. My younger siblings are ten and
fourteen years younger than I am so I was the baby of the family for ten years

10. I am not married but have been twice and am not gonna try for 'three's a charm'

11. I love to travel but don't do it as much anymore. Did take a 7000 mile cross country
trip in1992 with one dog and two grandchildren, 12 and 14. A lot of fun

12. I was in a lot of plays when I was in high school and loved to act

13. I have three daughters, ten living grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three
more 'in the oven'. My family took it seriously when God told Noah to "Go forth and
multiply' so they have

14. my oldest daughter had a five week old baby die of SIDS and a thirteen month old

15. I am very much addicted to my computer
16. I talk to my dogs a lot

17. I have had a weight problem since I was ten years old. Any psychologists out there
thinking that might have something to do with no longer being the baby of the family? I
never really thought about that til just this minute

18. I don't like to shop but I love to buy stuff

19. I had knee replacement surgery five years ago

20. I worked as a Health Unit Secretary for many years, the last 30 years in the same
hospital in Arizona. And the last nine yeas of that in the emergency room

I loved reading all those cool things about you, even the sad ones emoticon I feel so bad for your daughter losing children. That must have just been heartbreaking. I was born in Illinois too..Chicago. Where were you born? And I absolutely love Autumn too...especially if we get treated to an indian summer. They are the best. Thanks for sharing all the great info.

    Super Cool.

I'll have to look into Somewhere in time.
Have you ever read and Lee Ezell stuff? I got to see her live for Mother's day.
    or Elizabeth George
and their is this other lady. I think she may be a Dr and she is real popular kinda strong I wanna say Joice mayers but can't find her on Amazon. She has short hair little bit older.....?

A 7000 mile road trip with Kids and Animals you are either incredibly strong & independent or Nutz

Your oldest daughter is going to have a lot of jewels on her crown in heaven.
My mom had knee replacement surgery in her 80's, trying to convince her to do the other one. But hips arn't looking good due to Ostiro.

Thanks for sharing so much of who you are! I feel like I "know" you better. As for talking to the dogs, I do that too! I even talk to the deaf cat. It's hard to stop myself! emoticon

"Somewhere In Time" is one of my favorite movies, too. Like you, I love to read, especially Christian fiction. Also, I've read almost all of Mary Higgins Clarks books (as well as books by her DD, Carol Higgins Clark). I started reading MHC's books as a teen. (Remember her first book, "Where are the Children"? I just checked it out from the library, so I could read it again, all these years later!)

Figure skating and gymnastics are my favorite sports to watch on TV, too. The figure skaters and gymnasts look so graceful! They motivate me to get up and MOVE! LOL!

Then there's our OH connection. Go Buckeyes! :)

Thanks for sharing, Arlene. I hadn't realized just how much we have in common!

Enjoyed that . you have a big family and that is nice. hope you are all close. I always wanted a large bunch. I do have 3 daughters, husband and my mom. Also my great grandmother is still living(89) and a close 1st cousin but that is about all family left. A few distance relatives that I may see a couple times a year. My middle daughter will be married in April and another 1 building a house and moving out. Youngest one is a senior in high school this year so when they start having families it will get bigger. lol . I miss having kids around. emoticon
