I'm back online and have stayed on track

I can't believe that it's been since August 3rd that Ive been offline.

It's been a very busy couple of months. We managed to qualify for Regional Championships I didn't qualify for State Chmpionships since one of my scores came from Texas, but I'm not upset.

We have moved up to a new level, and our premier at our new level went very well. We've been working to learn all the moves that are required at our new level, and it's been a challenge. It's meant a lot of work in the arena. We've also reserved time on the trails to keep our minds from boredom or discouragement.

Weight is coming off. Not fast, but sitll coming off. Today I was changing into my jeans at the barn, and since I was sweaty, I couldn't get them pulled all the way up. Well, they buttoned over my hips!!!! It's hard to believe that my hips are now the size that my waist used to be. AWESOME!

The down side is that I am suffering from Valley Fever. The coughing has stopped for the most part, but the fatigue has become a constant companion, making it hard to ride or basically do much. I worked out yesterday, along with some work at the barn, and spent the rest of the day sleeping. Today I cleaned Falcao's stall, took care of a couple of the rescue horses, did a bit of shopping, came home, and slept another 3 hours.

It will take time, but I am learning patience. I am learning to once again listen to my body, to take as much exercise as I can, but accept that it won't be at the old level.

We live and learn. We survive and build ourselves. But with perseverance we will WIN!
